Have you ever wondered what is it like to be a writer? Find out from author Carolyn Miller as she chronicles a typical day in her life.
Read my Bible to get centered for the day before I check my emails (at a ridiculously early hour. That’s the beauty of time zone differences with North America when I live in Australia!)
Organize my children for school. Thank goodness they’re old enough to be pretty responsible (although my youngest needs a bit more supervision to ensure he has his lunch packed and matching socks!).
After the school run it’s time for a walk, to clear my head and get my exercise in for the day.
Then I check my emails again (and have another cup of tea – tea is the elixir of life!) before I do a bunch of Facebook likes & connecting (I’m killing time while I wait for the washing to be ready to hang up)
Okay – now I can actually write!!
Another cup of tea (or coffee if I’m really tired!)
More writing before the 3pm school pick up. Thank God for good research materials.
Now it’s time to get dinner started, do those household chores like check the chooks and guinea pigs while kids do homework
Dinner’s done; kids have completed chores, are showered, are reading in bed. Now it’s time for some TV and Pinterest surfing! (And maybe a bit more Facebook. Oh, and those blessed emails…)
Bed time = snuggle down with a good book. And my husband 😉
