Tell us a bit about the story behind your latest novel. Where did you find inspiration?
Watched the calf jump across the stable in William Wyler’s Ben Hur as a child. Been thinking about it for 40 years.
What was the hardest part about writing your novel: Getting started? Keeping it going? Finding the perfect ending?
Stealing the time from other responsibilities.
What trait do you love most about your main character?
Her innate decency and innocence.
When readers get to the last page, what do you hope they take away from the story?
Everyone deserves a second chance. A third chance, and a fourth!
What are you working on next?
A short novel about showbiz, another novel about gangsters and assassins.
