Halo Found Hope

Halo Found Hope

Halo Found Hope (December 2014)

Machines beeping, the blur of medical staff running, a crash cart whizzing into an ICU room—was there any hope?

A young woman lay, packed in ice, as doctors attempted to somehow stop the swelling in her brain that threatened to take her life… and her family waited.

Six days turned into eight weeks. She awoke to discover that she was not the same. She saw two of everything, couldn’t feel half of her face, couldn’t hear from one ear, and could not speak. She couldn’t even tell anyone that she felt hopeless… or could she?

Halo Found Hope is the story of a beautiful, busy wife, and mother of three whose life changes instantly with the diagnosis of a rare brain tumor. An exceptional ENT, a brilliant neurosurgeon and a dedicated medical team tackle the tumor, setting off a series of unbelievable miracles. Helo’s story is not one of survival, or of salvaging a life through a broken body. It is not about endurance through pain, but victory because of it. While the family heard her silence, God heard her prayer. Helo’s story is simply this: Wherever you are and whatever you are going through, God is right there. He doesn’t need to be recognized by you, to be there for you. He can replace fear with courage and discouragement with determination, if you let Him. Helo did, and that is how she found hope.

  • “Please make something beautiful out of this….” that was Helo’s prayer the in days before she entered the hospital.

This is a riveting personal story of one woman-wife, mother, and daughter- who faced an operation and recovery that drained her of all strength.
When she would have given up, God sustained her. He carried her, restored her, gave her back to her family, and drew them together in new ways.

This is also an exquisite testimony to the work of God and the worth of Christ in our lives.
Helo knows the power of grace to conquer fear, and she points to the ever-present Mercy in our times of need.

  • The book is very uplifting and is a book for everyone, especially those with brain tumors to get and keep close by. There are many scriptures and quotes that may help put a better perspective on the patient and also on the reader. Sometimes it seems that there is no hope. It is gone, never to be found again. But the author has written a book that may help you find that hope again and find that faith that you may have lost along the way.

  • After losing my mother at a very young age to a brain tumor, I just had to read this book.

I cried though most of the book and I cherished every page. Halo gives a super account of everything she went though and how she felt about it all. Halo never gave up and she stayed close to Jesus though it all.

This is a very encouraging book. I really like that Halo is giving a portion of her proceeds from her book sales to the National Brain Tumor Society. I hope that everyone buys a copy and enjoys this very riveting and encouraging book.

Warning: You will NOT be able to put this book down.

I gave this book 4 stars and I highly recommend it.

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher for my honest review.

  • I just finished reading, “Halo Found Hope.” . This is the story of a wife and mother and how she found the courage and faith to fight to survive. This is a totally awe inspiring book that will leave anyone that reads it with a different outlook on life after it is read. The author talks about other people that she has encountered and shares her ups and downs with the reader. The book left me with goose bumps in more than one chapter. I give this book a 5/5. I was given this book by Litfuse Publicity Group for the purpose of a review and all opinions are my own. –

  • It is sad that a tragedy is usually the first way someone finds faith. Not everyone even will no matter how hard the world shows them. This book has a story that no one could fake. A tone that no one could misunderstand. A message that is both heart wrenching and loving. I am so blessed in my spirit when a beautiful soul finds their spiritual side. The you to the author for sharing and spreading the hope.

  • This is Helo’s story of how she found hope in her storm. She went from caretaker to being totally dependent on someone else for everything. Her children grew up in those two months and were much more independent, because they had to be. But through her story she has come out on the other side and she is able to encourage those who most need encouraging. Her story is very personal, very honest, and very powerful. I really enjoy books like this because I can usually tell when an author is truly speaking from the heart. The book may not be the most well-written book I have ever read, but I enjoyed it for feeling like I know Helo by the end of it.

  • This is an amazing story of trust in God and relying on Him in a time of trial. This book is an inspiration and comfort to anyone going through a distressing time. I was especially encouraged by how Helo now ministers to others because of what she has gone through. This book is a treasure.

  • Inspiring. Intense. Extraordinary. Uplifting. These are just some of the words I would use when describing this amazing true story! Why you ask? Well, because Helo is a Mom of 3, happily married, and living life as many of us do, until one day she finds out she has a brain tumor – a very RARE brain tumor at that. How she and her family dealt with that diagnosis and all that lie ahead of them will explain it all!
Halo Found Hope takes you from the diagnosis all the way through to Helo’s very intense rehabilitation. Imagine going into the hospital thinking you would be there for a week or less but end up being there for 8 weeks, and then, having to go through months and months of therapy. But Helo wasn’t the only one effected – Her husband and children were as well.

  • This is an incredible story of one woman’s amazing blessing! In some ways, it is a hard story to read, since she is so open about all that she went through. It is a scary journey that must of been horrible for her and her family to go through, and yet they came out of the surgery, scare, and rehabilitation with the knowledge that only God could do the incredible.

  • What an inspiring book! Helouise tells her story so well, drawing readers in with honesty and fact. You will read how she and her family fought to bring her back; how an illness with all of its trauma and turmoil can lead to hope. I recommend this book to anyone who loves true stories, to those fighting a devastating diagnosis and their families, and to anyone who enjoys reading about God’s miraculous work.

  • Helo Matzelle lives a very brave life through the strength and grace of God. Part of her bravery is evident in the transparent way she shares her journey in her book Halo Found Hope. The book contains Helo’s journey peppered with scripture and quotes and shows the power of surrender to and trust in God.
The sovereignty of God is highlighted and readers are reminded of how God uses people and circumstances to transform us as Helo shares about the string of miracles that changed her life forever. The hand of God is clearly seen through her life. She encourages her readers not to give in to despair because of circumstances that could steal hope, but to experience victory despite of them by leaning on God’s grace.
Read Helo’s story and be not only inspired, but challenged to live life differently.

  • A book always has more power when the author who creates it has a story. Helo did a great job telling her story! She is all about God’s glory and helping you, the reader. I was very impressed with how touched I was with her faith in God in her struggles. I cried though most of the book . I couldn’t put it down.Halo Found Hope is the true story of an ordinary, happily married woman with 3 children whose life is abruptly changed by a devastating medical diagnosis. Helo Matzelle draws the reader into her journey in a powerfully irresistible way with strong and undisguised emotions.

  • Raw and real, “Halo Found Hope,” shares the journey of a young woman, who by God’s grace and mercy defeats death, seemingly more than once. Her trying tale of medical triumph over brain cancer, shows God’s hand in the actions of her surgeon, intensive care personnel, family, and perhaps most touchingly herself. The book is laced with scripture and reference to God’s presence in daily life, especially on the hardest days. Helo’s triumphs aren’t limited to her own survival, but also in withstanding the trials and tribulations involved with watching your own child undergo treatment for an unexpected and rare life threatening complication from routine surgery. The text is moving and inspiring, and likely to be especially moving for those relying heavily on God for guidance and love!

  • A story of hope… and miracles… and life.

This is exactly how I would describe Halo Found Hope, the memoir of Helo Matzelle..

Try to imagine what you would do if you were told you have a brain tumor – I can’t honestly imagine how I would take news like this. How would I tell my family? How would news of a brain tumor affect my faith?

Halo Found Hope is an inspiring story of a young woman who, after a diagnosis of a brain tumor, lives through some very intense moments. I have a lot of respect for a woman who goes through such a serious surgery, then after coming through it without an incident – just to suffer way more than expected when her brain began to swell, causing one problem after another.

But this book is about much more than just a rare, one-in-a-million type of brain tumor…

  • I enjoyed this story. Being that I am 42 and a mom of 4 it was very real to me. To imagine how Helo’s family stood by her and supported her was profound. Her faith and trust in God were inspiring and continued to draw me into the story.
Helo has a great message to share, I am sure she struggled through so much, but you just see her grace on every page.

  • Helo writes, “This was the first time since surgery that I had initiated communication. I could’ve written anything, but what I wrote still moves me to this day. It took me five minutes with fragile hands to write three simple words, ‘God is amazing.’”
For me, this book is summed up by this paragraph that despite going through unimaginable hardships Helo is still able to see the goodness of God. An encouraging read for anyone going through hard times and struggling to find hope.

  • Recently, I have grown so much from reading books such as this autobiography. It is important for a person like me, who too often exaggerates life’s struggles, who views self too highly, to view life through someone else’s heart.

Halo Found Hope is such a book. Chapter by chapter, I lived author Helo Matzelle’s weeks of struggles and rejoiced with her over the victories which were granted by her Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ.
This book puts life in a different perspective.

  • Halo Found Hope is an amazing story of encouragement. Helo (pronounced Halo) is an extraordinary woman who relied on her faith in God to get her through the most difficult days of her life. The story goes through Helo’s diagnosis, surgery, and recovery. What was supposed to be a six day stay in the hospital turned into eight weeks! She had many ups and downs, and was very close to losing her life. Throughout her ordeal, she trusted God with His plan for her life.

  • Helo’s real-life examples of serving others in the midst of her trial were a reminder to me to slow down and actively notice those around me. Everyone has a story, everyone needs uplifting at one time or another. She reminded me to focus on how I can share hope through small and simple means with the people I come into contact with.

  • Because my mom had a brain tumor when I was younger, it’s always in the back of my mind that I could possibly develop one. Halo Found Hope really woke me up to how quickly our lives can change! She wrote this book as a memoir, and gave incredibly detailed descriptions of every experience. Helo is obviously such a beautiful woman, inside and out! Her story is life-changing.

  • Avid Reader Reviews says:

Helo shares her fears. She shares her tears. But ultimately she shares her hope, faith and love in God, who walks beside her every step of the way.
Her advice is all good advice – live your life with one eye on our creator God and one eye on His children.
Halo Found Hope is too good to keep to myself. I have already bought several copies to give to my friends, and I will be buying more.

  • I read the first pages as a preview when offered the opportunity to review this book, and I was immediately captivated by this story. As a nurse, I was fascinated by the medical details, of course, but Helo’s (pronounced Halo) testimony was even more gripping. She describes her experience of being diagnosed with a brain tumor and walks the reader through the days following that lead up to her surgery as she and her husband wrestle with the potential ramifications this could mean for her life. . . .

  • This book was difficult to read at times, I cannot imagine living it.
But Halo not only survived…she continues to thrive and I know will continue to inspire others wherever her story is shared.
    Praise God for Halo!

  • Best Reads says:

To say Helo’s story is inspirational would be an understatement. She has managed to find hope where most would see only despair. She portrays a powerful testimony of an ever present God and the sheer joy and blessings that come from placing our tentative trust in him.

  • As Helo Matzelle tells us of her unexpected diagnosis and subsequent surgery with all of its incredible risks, I was reminded of God’s faithfulness in every area of our lives. Helo is transparent and honest in discussing the terror she felt from the diagnosis to waking up weeks later to realize she still had SO much to overcome. I could hardly put the book down, as I followed her painful and incredibly difficult journey. Each chapter is chock-full of God’s faithfulness and His incredible love for each one of His children.

  • “Resilience followed by encouragement inspires us to press on when challenges surround us.” (p.82)

Resilient is most certainly the word I would choose to describe Helo Matzelle. The strength, the perseverance and faith it took for her to overcome the devastation of a very invasive brain surgery was inspiring to read! It really struck home with me, because I am very close to her age, and her story makes me very aware of how thankful I should be every single day I enjoy good health. Even after years of hard work, Helo still faces daily challenges. She speaks honestly about those challenges. Doubt, fear, exhaustion and a host of other challenges face Helo every single day, and she has learned to turn completely and quickly to God alone for everything she needs. She has learned to cherish each day and to be genuinely thankful for her many blessings.

I love the way God has given her so many, many opportunities to share her story everywhere she goes. I love how tenderly and specifically God answered her deepest heart cry by using complete strangers to give her just the words she needed to hear at that specific moment. Her entire story is truly incredible, and I am very thankful to have the opportunity to recommend it to everyone! This has intersected my life in a difficult place, and has given me hope and strength to go forward when I needed a special touch from God in my own spirit. What an amazing, tender God we serve!! How He loves us!!

Thank you Helo for sharing your story with the world!

  • Being a sibling of someone who went through three brain surgeries, one of which was an emergency to save her life, naturally I was drawn to hear a testimony of what God had done in this story. Hope seems to flourish amidst a soil of trial, trouble and tears. Halo Found Hope is one such memoir that reminds us of that fact stated previously.
Helo shares transparently a large part of her journey from a healthy, active, vibrant woman with many responsibilities to a woman hoping to see her children grow up. The type of tumor Helo had happens once in a couple of million discovered tumors. She shares her heart with readers, and the effect it had on her husband, children and others. Helo has a new normal for her life that was birthed from the removal and substantial rehab she had to endure.
Yet the book isn’t just about her trials, it is more about what God revealed to her. How God revealed He was teaching her through the many months of hard work to get self-sufficient to a degree. Helo learned about whom she is and how God communicates His truth to her every day. Helo is a woman who is a witness to what God does, not just at the moment of trial but every day we live here on our journey towards home.
There are parts to her story I cannot relate to physically, but the heart to know God more is one I truly relate with daily. Proverbs 16:9 came to my mind as I read the memoir, and it says, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” So it is with Helo and is true of all who seek God.

  • If you want to read a book that would lead you to peace , bolster your faith, or just simply feel more thankful, this is the one for you! I enjoyed this book, as I travelled the rough road of life with Helo. Helo inspires one to forget about the everyday little bumps in the road and keep your eyes on the Lord. He is the only one who can keep you sane in a world of hurts, challenges and fears.

Helo experienced the worst nightmare that a young mother can ever dream of. Finding herself suddenly on death’s door, she has to make a choice. Should she drown herself in pity or take what only God offers us, peace and acceptance. I was able to feel her every emotion as I read her autobiography. Not only does she give us a clear understanding of what a tumor can do to one’s health, but also what it can do to the individual emotionally and how it can affect one’s family. Helo’s trust in God is unbelievable! She put her hand in His and allowed Him to lead. My emotions and faith were on a roller coaster ride throughout this book. I hit the highs and lows along with this dear woman.

  • Deb's Book Review says:

Encouraging, inspirational, true story! This is the true story of a lady whose life was changed within a visit to the doctors. Helo (pronounced Halo) has a rare brain tumor and goes in to have surgery to release the pressure and ends up having to start over in life by learning to walk, talk, read, eat and anything that you do when you are a baby. Her journey makes you realize that life is short and changes daily. Everyone has a story to tell. Helo keeps her faith in GOD and works very hard to get her life back. With the support of her husband, 3 children, family, her faith and GOD, she will return to living life with love, joy and happiness.

What an inspiration Helo is to everyone, you think your life is bad, but you never know what someone else has had to overcome. This book is

  • Helo, upon experiencing a bit of hearing loss and ringing in her ears makes a life-changing trip to the doctor where she learns that she has an extremely rare tumor. With her family by her side, a highly skilled medical team acted quickly to successfully remove the tumor. Upon waking, her brain swelled, which elicited a slew of medically-complicated events. The real story lies in the trials and tribulations she faced after her surgery to remove her brain tumor.

I found this book to be a very quick read. I could relate to Helo as a mother and a wife. She so honestly portrayed her experience, and while it was heartbreaking, it was doubly inspirational. Helo’s story will guide you through every emotion, give you a sense of perseverance while strengthening your religious and spiritual faith.

  • Helo’s story really brings to the forefront the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 that our plans are not our own, but they are God’s. What we want out in life is not always what we want and it does not always work the way we think that it should work. It was a touching story to read Helo’s journey from being an active woman to a woman fighting for her life. It was not a story of wake up one day sick, healed and 100% normal. Sometimes that is the case and then sometimes it is not the case. Sometimes healing is a process and we are not the person that we were going in and different coming out of a sickness. But even though healing came through a process, she has a ministry now that helps others that are going through similar situations.

  • As someone who has watched a loved one go down the road of brain tumors, this book hit home. I currently have a friend’s elementary-aged son going through a brain tumor and thought of her the entire time I read this book. Needless to say, I bought her the kindle copy so she could read it. I knew that if I had been encouraged by this book, then so would she. Walking down this road is a lonely, scary road. Helo did an amazing job telling her story and being transparent about her fears and her battles.

I found it very helpful to read about how her different family members handled the news of her brain tumor.

  • Halo Found Hope is a walk through every emotion experienced by Halo and her family during her diagnosis and treatment of an invasive brain tumor. It is an experience of inspirational perseverance in the midst of faith. Halo is also a sweet reminder of just how fragile and short life is and how often we take for granted good health. It will leave you wanting to hug and kiss your loved ones and make good of every moment of each day with them.

  • After telling the details of surgery and the touch-and-go events afterwards, the information jumps around going back and forth between current events, rehabilitation and stories about people she has helped. While the back and forth took some getting used to, it helped me see how life has changed for Helo. Things that used to be important are not so much anymore. Her focus now is on telling others how Jesus has been there for her and helping her fellow man, even if it is just a kind word or paying for a birthday cake, just because.

  • A touching book meant to encourage us all to rest on God when things don’t go exactly as planned.

  • In this inspiring book, Heloise Matzelle shares her journey, from her brain tumor diagnosis to her recovery. What an amazing story of hope and faith! I was touched by Helo’s candidness and moved by her emotional story!

  • This book hit a little close to home. I didn’t have a brain tumor, I did have brain surgery to remove the section of my brain that was causing my seizures. Helo’s description of the surgery was vivid, a little to vivid for me who had experienced something very similar. With that said, the book showed hope, and how leaving things to Christ who is the Master Physician brings both peace and hope.
    Highly Recommended!

  • Wow, what a truly amazing book! A book of courage, faith, hope, love, determination and never letting go! This book truly moved me to tears at key points of this story. Halo is truly amazing with the way that she keeps her Faith in God and trusting him to get her through.

  • This is such an inspirational story told by Helo about her struggles to get her life back to normal. Throughout the book, she takes us on the journey of the day she found out she had the brain tumor. She describes in detail the days leading up to her surgery, and the mass of emotions that ran through her and her family as they prepared for the unknown.

Once Helo finally recovered from her surgery and resulting complications, her life has never been the same. The faith that she had prior to the surgery grew to enormous heights, and it was apparent in the stories she told of the years following her surgery.

  • I cried while reading this book and cherished every page. Helo’s story is an encouraging story of faith when her life took a terrifying turn.

  • What a remarkable story shared by a courageous women. Talk about ones life changing in an instant! That is exactly what happened to Helo whose life drastically changed in a blink of an eye. Her courage in the face of bleak circumstances was inspiring and I walked away from reading this book feeling inspired and in awe of what a wonderful God we serve and how people like Helo are such an inspiration. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

  • A beautiful story of faith and courage. Helo Matzelle has written a beautifully raw memoir of her diagnoses of a rare brain tumor, her fear and faith that followed, treatment and the long road to recovery. While she had to relearn to control her body she also learned to hold on tight to her faith.
This book speaks to the healing power of Christ and the triumphal faith of the broken.

  • In this inspiring book, Heloise Matzelle shares her journey from her brain tumor diagnosis to her recovery, which is nothing short of an amazing story of hope and faith in the midst of mixed emotions because of such a serious health event. I was deeply moved by the author’s candor during her circumstances and that no matter what, she would not stop keeping faith in the Lord while suffering through this brain tumor leading to her miraculous recovery. I highly recommend it to those who are experiencing struggles in their lives, especially those who may be fighting terminal illnesses or cancer or someone who is taking care of a family member who’s fighting cancer or other terminal illnesses.

  • Helo did not stop there. She continues to spread her experience with others who are struggling. She shares a number of instances where she is placed directly in the path of somebody who is struggling and reminds them of the gift of God’s grace. I’m sure there’s many other occurrences that she doesn’t tell us about, and also a good quantity more where she indirectly touched and helped somebody and didn’t even realize it. Many people were in the exact place they needed to be to help Helo survive. I’m sure God has placed her exactly to help others survive.

  • This book was so – wow. I was so amazed at the author’s courage to tell her story like this. Helo does a fantastic job at not only telling us her story, but in giving us such an empowering message. Sometimes, you just need a book like this. I felt like Helo was right here with me, and we were talking face-to-face. Full of determination, hope, and ups and downs this book is definitely one that I would recommend to those who need some encouragement when all feels lost.

  • `Halo Found Hope` is the memoir of Helo Matzelle and how she found hope through faith in God. Helo had surgery, at age 46, for a rare brain tumor. Miracles occurred during the surgery and afterward.
My thoughts while reading author Helo Metzelle’s memoir was that Helo appears to be a woman who loves God. She isn’t much different from the reader, but has a deepened awareness of the love of God. This is shown by her frequent use of scripture throughout the book.(snippet)

  • How do you go through the physical journey, the emotional journey and the spiritual journey of major illness? Helo — it’s hard to think of her as “the author” she feels so much like a friend — has written a warm, interesting and completely engaging memoir dealing with all of these issues. Helo’s story of recovery and faith is definitely worth reading, especially in this season of faith.

  • What I REALLY LOVED about this book is that the focus isn’t on her illness. This whole book is a big worship song to God. As Helo fights her worldly reactions of depression, worry, fear, anger, etc…, we see her fighting back with God’s help. Instead of focusing on her fight to take step after step at the grocery store, she is offering to pay the bill for the person behind her. She is helping others that are struggling.

That’s really all life is about. Helo understands this. She knows that our purpose is to bring God glory. Nothing else. In doing that, we are brought joy and happiness because that’s what we were created to do.

  • I can often be paranoid about certain things, one of which is having a crazy tumor somewhere and dying while my kids still “need me”. Of course, God knows what they need infinitely more than what I can even imagine. He has a plan. So I try to talk myself down from my paranoia. Helo’s story hit me quite hard. She is a mother. She is a wife. Her kids “needed” her. Helo’s story is amazing. It is the first dramatic book I’ve read in a long time and I really enjoyed it. It was so hard to put down as you feel like you are living through her and that her fragile life is yours. The hope and encouragement gained throughout this book is wonderful. I recommend this book very much as long as you can have some tissue nearby.

  • This story is profound, soul searching and will touch you in the deepest depths of your soul.

Halo writes her story, her story of survival, the aftermath, her story of hope, belief and unbelievable strength and trust in God.

An amazing read..I can’t imagine going through what she has, and even more, cannot imagine coming through the aftermath with the spirit that she has.

  • Halo found hope was a touching heartwaring book to read. It opened my eyes to see what the author had done and went through to get where she is today. I cannot say that I feel sorry for them, because they had the marcile of hope of God. To read such a tremendous story opened my eyes to the things I take for granted, even the smallest of things. God will make a way even if the money isn’t there or your going through struggles. There are people out there suffering from many types of illnesses and while you complain about it they give thanks for what some people call the simplest of things. This book will change your life to see how a tumor effected a family, but pulled through no matter the odds they face.

  • This book, and Matzelle’s story is one that proves there is HOPE in even the most dire of situations. If only we reach out for His hand, the Great Physician, we will find the hope we need to deal with the tough stuff in our lives. Whatever that tough stuff is. Whether it is medical, financial or otherwise.

  • I was so excited to read this book. Helo’s story sounds amazing and it truly is. She writes with such clarity of the events that happened. However, I struggle with anxiety disorder and her descriptions of how she felt before surgery and her fear of leaving her loved ones behind is a huge trigger for my anxiety and I couldn’t continue reading. That being said I do recommend this book if you do not struggle with such things. Like I said it is super well written and a great story of hope. I’m hoping some day I can overcome some of my anxiety so I can enjoy this story of hope from a solid women of God.

  • Alison M. says:

Helo Matzelle’s book called “Halo Found Hope” is a great read especially those who may feel helpless after an extensive surgery. This book will help you regain hope again even though it may take some time.Halo Found Hope I felt I could relate to this book because of some surgeries that I have had and wondered if I would ever be the same again or be able to be the wife and mom that I already was. Yes, there are challenges that are to be faced everyday through recovery but we get through it and this book will take you through those challenges.

  • The book really is full of hope. I’d previously read a different book about a woman that had gone through a big physical tragedy and it was somewhat depressing as she questioned God and complained. Not so with this book! Every chapter of this book was encouraging and made me stop and say, “Thank you Lord.”

While I do not like the use of multiple Bible versions; I greatly admire the way Helo studies and uses the Bible in her life and, in turn, this book. She turns to Scripture whenever she was struggling, and received hope. I’m not sure that I could make it through all of what the author did and keep such a strong faith and trust in the Lord.

  • Halo found Hope – a Memoir

I chose this book to review because the thought of someone else, besides my Mom, having gone through a miracle of this type was impressive. Although the circumstances surrounding the surgery were very different, brain tumor surgery and my Mom’s fracture of the colon, many of the actual days spent in the Intensive Care Unit of a large hospital corresponded so closely that it transported me back to the time we sat at Mom’s beside.

God is Love, and this testimony brings it out in ways that are hard to understand and explain but are very real. Perhaps it is because of my deep faith, or because we went through a time of living and breathing prayer, but I feel that the reader of this memoir will come away with a new appreciation and new insight of the breadth and depth and strength of God’s Immeasurable Love. Once a person, or their loved one, has experienced this kind of miracle, it seems you can never look at life in the same way again.

Thank you to Chris and Amy at Litfuse Publicity Group, and author Malo Matzelle for the opportunity to read this book. I received a free book in exchange for an honest review. A positive critique was not required. The opinions are my own.
