One dress. Four women. An amazing destiny.

Charlotte Malone is getting married. Yet all is not settled in the heart of Birmingham’s chic bridal boutique owner. Charlotte can dress any bride to perfection-except herself. When she discovers a vintage mint-condition wedding gown in a battered old trunk, Charlotte embarks on a passionate journey to discover the women who wore the gown before her.

Emily in 1912. Mary in 1939. And Hillary in 1968. Each woman teaches Charlotte something about love in her own unique way. Woven within the threads of the beautiful hundred-year-old gown is the truth about Charlotte’s heritage, the power of faith, and the beauty of finding true love.

“Hauck weaves an intricately beautiful story centering around a wedding dress passed down through the years. Taken at face value, the tale is superlative, but considering the spiritual message both on the surface and between the lines, this novel is incredible. Readers will laugh, cry and treasure this book.”

Shari at The Knit Wit by Shair As for the story, it was a great one, intriguing, and instead of being just 1 love story, you hear about 4 love stories, and how they all tie together in the end.

Athena at Our Crazy Life It take a very special author to be able to jump from present day to days gone by in one novel and make it work. Rachel Hauck does this wonderfully. The transitions and connections between the women was flawless and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Casey at Writing for Christ With four stories to weave into one, I thought parts of the plot would feel lacking, but quite the contrary. I wanted to spend more time with these characters, but not because I felt I needed to know them better, but because they become a close part of my life in such a short time.

Ruth at My Devotional Thoughts It is a charming story told from a wonderfully fresh perspective.

Janet at Along the Way As the pieces of the puzzle are finally revealed, I was totally satisfied with the outcome. I would love to find out what happens next with this amazing wedding dress, and wish there was a second book that continues the story.

4/9

Kaylea at My Scrappy Life Fun and humorous, The Wedding Dress would make a great “tuck in your bag” on a vacation or “rainy day” read.

Lisa Jordan Rachel Hauck’s imagery and wordsmithing captivates me. I loved the seamless way Rachel threaded the present with the past as Charlotte, the main character, searched the history of a wedding dress found in an old trunk. The Wedding Dress is a beautiful story of romance, courage and belief in the One who gives us an eternal happily ever after.

Reviews by Melinda Joy This book is reminiscent of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants only with a wedding gown instead of a pair of jeans. I love novels that intertwine the lives of several strong characters who teach each other life lessons along the way.

Lindsay at Live To Read The author carries out the plot wonderfully and will not confuse the reader as the reader travels back in time, so to speak, to meet each girl.

Carlybird’s Home Rachel has created a story that I will definitely remember for a long time.

Hayley at Hanging Off The Wire What a beautiful story! I like how the story slips between characters, so you really learn all sides of the mystery of the dress. I could not put this book down. I just had to know everything, right away! The book will have you hooked in the first chapter. The writing is astonishing and you really feel part of the story.

4/10

Whitney at Rambles of a SAHM This is a great surface read, but the underlying story just puts it over the top.

Lydia at The Overweight Bookshelf I mourned the end of this book as four incredible women bid me farewell as they walked into their divinely ordained destiny. For a story involving a “one size fits all” wedding dress, I do not doubt that every woman who reads it will have it fit a special place in their heart and their bookshelf.

Brooke at I blog 4 books The Wedding Dress is romantic, tender, and full of southern charm.

4/11

Pamela at Daysong Reflections “The Wedding Dress” may just be one of my favorite Rachel Hauck novels. Not only is it a wonderful modern love story, but the history behind the previous owners of the mysterious dress adds a special depth to the story.

Laura at Day by Day in Our World I love how the wedding dress serves as an anchor point for each story being told.

Angela at All Grown Up?

Tiffany at A Cozy Reader’s Corner The Wedding Dress was an engrossing read. I felt I couldn’t read it fast enough. Truly enjoyable, the novel is more than a romance. Deep within the pages lie mysteries that will keep your nose in the book as you eagerly turn the pages to discover the truth. This novel is full of well-developed characters, an interesting plot, well-chosen settings and one common factor that every girl can relate too, the perfect dress. Maureen’s Musings You can just picture this beautiful dress, and then picture each bride in it. I never really expected the ending in this book, and it is such a great story, that seems to have really happened just as it is written.

Michelle at Life in Review The writing is superb with two compelling stories, one in the present and one in the past, that will have you glued to the pages until the very end. The two stories are woven together perfectly and each one keeps you wondering what’s going to happen. It’s full of drama, mystery, and romance.
