Press Release

Tracie Peterson to celebrate 100th book in print with webcast

Author to host a live web event on April 29 to celebrate release of A Sensible Arrangement

Seattle: In honor of the release of her 100th book, A Sensible Arrangement (Bethany House Publishers/April 1, 2014/ISBN 978-0764210587/$14.99), best-selling author Tracie Peterson will be hosting a webcast. During the live event on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 8:00 PM EDT, Peterson will introduce readers not only to her latest release, but to her new Lone Star Brides series, both of which hold a tender place in her heart.

“Wow, what a journey! A Sensible Arrangement is book 100 for me, and I stand absolutely amazed at what God has done with and through the books He’s given me to write,” explains Peterson. “This new series — Lone Star Brides — ties together two former series (Striking a Match and Land of the Lone Star) by marrying characters Jake Wythe and Marty Dandridge together and following their lives and those of others the readers will recognize from the previous series. This was so much fun and came about because readers kept telling me they wanted to see more of Jake and Marty, so I thought, ‘Why not put them together?’”

Peterson feels blessed to have this writing ministry and loves the way the readers continue to connect with her, sharing how God has used her stories to bring them closer to Him. With the opportunity to connect with so many readers at once, the possibilities for new inspiration are endless! During the hour-long event, Peterson will host a book club discussion, answer reader questions and offer an exclusive sneak peek of the series. Readers will have an opportunity to chat with other fans, answer trivia about the book and submit their own questions for Peterson to answer during the evening. A number of prizes will be given away to those participating in the discussion, including copies of Peterson’s books and gift cards. At the end of the webcast, the winner of an iPad Mini will be announced. The iPad giveaway is being held in conjunction with the blog tour for A Sensible Arrangement coordinated by Litfuse Publicity Group.

The webcast will be hosted on Peterson’s Facebook page, as well as Litfuse’s website for readers without a Facebook account. Leading up to the webcast, readers can RSVP for the event and sign up to receive an email reminder. From April 14-29, fans can also enter the contest for the iPad Mini via the author’s Facebook page.

“Tracie Peterson is an amazing author who has such a heart for her readers,” states Noelle Buss, marketing manager at Bethany House. “Her desire to keep encouraging and entertaining them has helped make the release of A Sensible Arrangement her 100th book in print. That is an incredible feat, and we are so honored to be able to be a part of her long and very successful writing life.”

Readers can watch Peterson’s RSVP for the webcast on Tracie’s Facebook Page (Tracie Peterson Author) for more details.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT REVIEW

This book has suspense, drama and romance all wrapped up in one. If you like historical novels you will really enjoy this one. Peterson is such a good writer and makes her stories very enjoyable to read.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON

The author gave us a beautiful woman who packed a little six shooter and ran off bandits from a stage, driving that stage to safety. She gives us a man with desires for ranching in Texas, who had had a hurtful love affair in the past. Will either or both of them find a way to get past the hurts? Will they find a way to show each other the love they feel or will they go their own separate ways? Will they allow faith to heal them? I would recommend that you get you a copy of A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT by Tracie Peterson and live in Texas and Colorado with Marty and Jake. You don’t want to miss this wonderful “arranged marriage”. Who knows, it may become a real marriage. Read and see.

  • {MICHELLE} REVIEW: A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT (LONE STAR BRIDES #1) – TRACIE PETERSON

I enjoyed taking the journey with Marty to finding God again. There are a couple of things I would have liked to have been done differently. There was one situation that was pretty big and was talked about a lot. I would have liked more of a closure with the subject. It had this big build up like a big reveal was going to be made, then it was just like ok well this is what happened.

A fun read, an arranged marriage is something we read about a lot in Historical Romances, but there are some fun twists and turns to this read…which keep it fun.

  • LITFUSE REVIEW: “A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT” BY TRACIE PETERSON

By the time I started this book, I was a bit wearied by romance books, to be honest. They all (well, almost) go the same way, have the same perfect ending, etc. And though that is good and what you usually look for in a book, I kinda had my fill of romances =P BUT I was actually surprised as I got into this book. I liked it. It wasn’t exactly your typical romance. In fact, there wasn’t really much romance at all till the end.

  • “A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT” BY TRACIE PETERSON BOOK REVIEW

It seems that every time I pick up a book written by Tracie Peterson, I am thoroughly enchanted. While this is only the second book I have read by this author, it is quite simple to discover why she is a best-selling Christian author. Her stories are definitely a cut above the typical historical romances, and the Christian message is expertly woven into the fabric of the story. This guarantees that a superb story that will bring great joy and delight to the reader is found within the pages of her novels.

I sincerely have no complaints with this book. There is nothing inappropriate, and I can scarcely wait to read more about this marvelous couple! Their spiritual journey was genuine, full of grit, and relatable. In addition to this, Tracie had added humor(sorely lacking in far too many books)as well as every emotion imaginable. Rarely do I find myself nearly crying over a typical historical romance, but indeed, I experienced the emotions simultaneously with Marty. And after all, this book holds a significant place in my heart since the main character’s name is Martha (my daughter’s name)!

  • “A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT” BY TRACIE PETERSON

Peterson’s settings are always extreme, and A Sensible Arrangement contained two extremes in one story – the rough-and-tumble Texas ranch and the high society Colorado mansion all in one. The detail with which she described not only each location, but also the historical time period and the problems that went with it were superb. I would read this story again just for the setting.

“A Sensible Arrangement” is a wonderful romance and the history is perfectly accurate giving a picture of simpler, slower times. Ms. Peterson is an amazing writer and she has given us a great story with plenty of believable characters that we root for to win.

  • LOVED THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS

A Sensible Arrangement has a better storyline than the other mail-order bride books I’ve read. I liked the fact that the two main characters were middle aged, so they weren’t walking into the marriage with rose-colored glasses. The arrangement is the foundation of the book although there’s enough other interest to carry the story. The history that was sprinkled into the story was quite enriching. Bravo for Tracie Peterson; I look forward to many more late nights reading her books!

What immediately caught my attention about this book is the cover. After observing so many covers, I’ve come to really like the ones that have something that sets it apart from others. In this case, it’s the beautiful contrasting colors and the slants on the title. It’s very appealing.

I really like Tracie Peterson. I think I’ve read most of her books, so I’d say that she is one of my favorites! She does a good job in capturing my attention right away. I had a hard time putting this book in her new series, Lone Star Brides, down.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT

My Thoughts On The Book: This is the first book in the Lone Star Brides series from Peterson and I am glad I got in on the ground floor. I will read another one to see how she ties them together. Peterson is no stranger to the story as this was also her 100th novel. I enjoyed the story line even though I did think it was a little slow starting. I enjoyed the main characters. I found them very well developed. I liked the secondary characters in the book maybe even a little more than the primary. I really liked Alice, is a sweet character who guides Marty, even though she’s much younger, back into a relationship with God. I loved both the housekeeper and the butler. They were very amusing. I felt like in parts of the story I was left hanging. When I finished reading the book I felt as if something was lacking and I could not put my finger on what it was.

I am not usually big into mail order brides books, in my opinion that theme is way to overdone, but I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the latest book by Tracie Peterson. I particularly enjoyed the main character, Marty, who was feisty and very endearing. The romance was sweet and the characters were likable with a good storyline,so what wasn’t there to like?

  • A PLEASANT READ WITH TEXAS TWANG

From the ranches of Texas to the mile-high city of Denver, “A Sensible Arrangement” lays the foundation for Tracie Peterson’s new “Lone Star Bride” series. This novel introduces several story-lines that will continue into the next novel. Peterson incorporates romance, faith, and history to create a pleasant read despite unfinished ends. A bit of mystery is incorporated into the historical element, which centers on the economic downturn of the late 1890s. Peterson paints a dimensional picture of the growing city of Denver, from the upper crust of society to orphans. A western story set in a city is quite refreshing, but there is still a touch of wild-west style excitement and Texas twang.

  • ANOTHER GREAT READ FROM TRACIE PETERSON!

Two of my favorite story lines in historical fiction are mail order bride and marriage of convenience stories. Combine the two, and double the fun! From the beginning, I liked Marty. She’s feisty and has a serious streak of independence. It wasn’t clear until much later why she would be interested in leaving her family in Texas and become a mail order bride, but once we finally learned the reason, it made sense. Marty has a terrible problem with lying. While I often wanted to shake her and force the truth out, I actually liked that her vice was something that most people have dealt with but generally overlook. I thought it made her more relatable and showed how a seemingly insignificant sin can have such far-reaching consequences.

  • CELEBRATE 100 BOOKS!

First of all, I have to extend my congratulations to Tracie Peterson on her centennial release!…I’ve enjoyed many of her previous books and eagerly curled up with this one…Peterson has taken the common scenario of the “mail order bride” and infused fresh life into it with the story of Marty Olson and Jake Wythe…I was delighted to realize that Marty was the five-year-old sister of Hannah in Taming the Sun, the first book in Peterson’s 2012 Land of the Lone Star Series….Marty is all grown up now and so desperate to leave Texas that she travels to Denver to marry a man she’s never met. Marty and Jake immediately endeared themselves to me…A thoroughly satisfying historical romance, A Sensible Arrangement is, of course, a sensible addition to your reading list!

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON

A Sensible Arrangement is Tracie Peterson’s 100th novel. Now that I have completed my first book by this prolific author – count me among her many fans!

A Sensible Arrangement tells the story of two people who are willing to settle for an arranged marriage with one another to avoid repeating the mistakes and the pain of their past.

The two main characters – Marty and Jake – are highly likeable and highly relatable. I particularly found myself drawn to Marty due to her independent spirit – her spiritual struggles – and her kind heart.

The story is a western romance, but the plot is different from others I have read, and I was drawn into the story from the start.

I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the sequels in Tracie’s Lone Bride Star series!

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT – BY TRACIE PETERSON

I am not new to Tracie Peterson’s books. I have read several and have liked them all! I love “mail-order bride” books, and this was a good one!

This story has all the fixins – A little romance, a little mystery, a little excitement, and lots of awwwww (reasons to give you goosebumps). And the mystery in this one is a good one – kept me wondering!
There was nice character development. All the characters were very likeable and seemed real to me. I loved the was Tracie captured the awkwardness of the arranged marriage but also having the two “get along” and actually become friends before… (my lips are sealed).

Well being a fan of Tracie’s and a fan of Historical fiction – I will definitely be looking for the rest of this series.

I am a fan of Tracie’s books so of course I was looking forward to starting a new series by her. This book is full of drama, mystery and a little bit of fun and faith. I think Marty was a strong woman for picking up and answering an advertisement and moving to a place she has never been to marry a man she did not know. There was a great cast of characters in this book and of course I really like Marty and Jake. I enjoyed going on their journey with them starting as strangers and becoming true mates and having a strong relationship. • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT REVIEW

A Sensible Arrangement is the story of a hurt woman, making a rash decision, that lands her in an amazing life. But of course it’s much more than that. It’s the story of economic hard times, in the days of mail order brides. It’s the story of lies and truth, of redemption, and second chances.

Marty is a believable character, and the story sucks you in right away. I found myself tearing up only 8 pages in. The author weaves real events from the 1890′s into the narration, making it historically plausible.

I have to say, I’m glad this is “book one” of the Lone Star Brides series, because there’s some loose ends I can’t wait to see wrapped up. I’ll be watching for book 2, due to be released in June, as well as book 3, set to come out in October.

Great story! I love A Sensible Arrangement it is well written and kept me interested till the end. Marty (Martha) leaves her home in Texas to marry Jake. Jake is bank manager and everyone knows if you aren’t married you are unsteady. So it was important to get married. Marty was not use to the grand style that a bank manager had ~ a very nice house, hired help and anything she could possible want. Jake’s dream was to move to Texas and buy a ranch like his grandfather had ~ but going back to Texas was the last thing Marty wanted.

I really really enjoyed most of this book. Marty was exactly what Jake needed and the other way around. I loved that Marty wasn’t what fit into society but she tried for Jake’s benefit. Jake was a good man and just wanted to take care of Marty. I did so enjoy how she got to Colorado! The house staff was great! I loved the bickering and love shown through them. Marty didn’t fit the mold of lady of the house but they still respected her and helped her along. I understand that this is the first in a series so I hope that all my lingering questions at the almost abrupt ending to this book will be answered in the following books, as there are several questions!

This is a marriage of “convenience”, Jake is needing a wife because of his job. However, working at the Morgan Bank could be a detriment to his health.
Both Marty and Jake have secrets, and as they unfold their relationship is transformed.
Tracie paints with wide brush strokes and you become part of the story. This will be one of my tops for 2014. Highly recommended!

  • REVIEW: A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT

I can’t imagine anyone who likes historical romance not enjoying Tracie’s newest, A Sensible Arrangement, book #1 in the Lone Star Brides series. It has been a good while since I’ve read one of Tracie’s books, and while I always enjoyed them, I think her writing has greatly improved. I am eager to continue this series and strongly recommend A Sensible Arrangement to all who enjoy inspirational fiction.

  • I WAS COMPLETELY LOST IN THIS STORY AND FOUND MYSELF RELATING TO MARTY MORE THAN I THOUGHT!

I love this book because it took me back to a much simpler time in a sense, where Marty is struggling with coming to terms with leaving behind her cattle ranching days for a life of leisure as a banker’s wife, being waited on hand and foot wanting for nothing. Jake on the other hand, would gladly give up the life in Denver for his own cattle ranch. He’s doing all he can to save up for his own, when rumors of an economic fallout begin to rock the social world in Denver. Will Jake and Marty be able to come to terms with a new future of compromise or will they both be faced with holding back secrets that they know will hurt the other if they should ever come to light? You’ll have to see how these two work to make their differences work together and I for one can’t wait for the next novel!

  • This was another book with a beautiful cover. For some reason I really enjoy learning more about arranged marriages. This book is fiction, but I loved reading about it in this story. The situation is interesting and the characters are wonderful. Some of the situations made me laugh and some made me almost cringe. This was an enjoyable read and I definitely recommend it. This was Peterson’s 100th book! What an accomplishment!

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON BLOG TOUR BOOK REVIEW

Put on your cowgirl boots and grab your pistol, getting ready to read an exciting western novel; in this new series from bestselling author Tracie Peterson! Filled with Christian values, excitement and plenty of southern charm, any southerner or fan of historical fiction with a nice bit of adventure will enjoy this novel and eagerly await the second installment in this new Lone Star Brides series!

Prior to reading A Sensible Arrangement, I’d never read any of Tracie Peterson’s other novels, despite the fact there are several out there since A Sensible Arrangement marked Tracie’s 100th novel to write! I didn’t have high expectations for this book, and actually just requested to review/read it on a whim, thinking I’d give this new-to-me author a try. I’m so glad I did!

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT

This is a compelling story of a man and woman who choose to marry for vastly different reasons: he to satisfy the board of the bank he works for, and she to escape the memories that haunt her in Texas. Along the way, of course, the two fall in love. But Marty’s secrets and lies threaten their happily ever after.

One aspect that I absolutely loved about this novel was that Marty wasn’t the typical romance novel heroine. She had struggled with lying her entire life, and even when she recommitted herself to Christ, her tendency to lie didn’t go away, though she did fight it much harder. I appreciated that she was a representation of a real woman with real issues.

  • ENJOYABLE TWIST

Tracie Peterson is a great story teller. She is understands characters and history and intertwines them in a captivating way. This is her hundredth novel! I enjoyed the setting as Colorado is my favorite place. I also found the bank perspective of the leading male to be interesting. I haven’t read to many mail order type books that involve the husband being well to do in a city setting. This brought a unique aspet to the story line. Also, the first part of the book is entertaining as Marty takes on bandits while on the stage. This scene really makes the book what it is. The romance is witty and more like a friendship which was acutally refreshing. While predictable and a bit slow this book was still enjoyable! I rate four stars.

  • A VERY ENJOYABLE STORY!

A Sensible Arrangement portrayed what I thought was a very realistic look of a marriage of convenience. Marty is a girl, who had happy marriage, but it was taken from her when husband was killed when he was tending the stock on their ranch. For four years, Marty has taken care of her small spread and watched after by her sister and brother-in-law, who has a ranch next to Marty’s. However, since the death of her husband, Marty has grown weary of her ranch…well, really, of Texas in general. All that seems to remain is heartache, so when she notices an ad in the paper for a Texas bride, she jumps at the chance. The way that Marty handles it is real too.

  • It’s been quite a while since I’d read a Tracie Peterson book and this one made me question why it had been so long! There’s a very strong faith message with a good discussion about why God allows suffering and evil as Marty still struggles with her husband’s death and anger at God four years later. I definitely recommend this book if you like historical fiction!

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON

While A Sensible Arrangement is a work of fiction, and a work of enjoyment… it holds the truth that GOD IS LOVE, which is one of the most important aspects of God’s character that we as humans need to know.

This is an excellent book about God’s love and grace and how He works things out even when we don’t always keep our eyes/faith on him. It’s an excellent read for firm believers, believers who are struggling with unbelief and non-believers. For firm believers, it says that it’s okay to have questions and doubts, because God is ALWAYS there for us. He’ll always take us back. For believers struggling with unbelief, the trials of life tend to pull us down… only God can pull us back up into his loving arms. For non-believers… Christians/believers are NOT perfect.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BOOK REVIEW

I … like how Marty didn’t come in and start making changes to everything, but wanted to give it some time, see what worked and didn’t work then possibly make changes at a later date. She also has a big heart and steps up to help those who have had a rough life, even standing her ground when the society ladies told her it was beneath them to help.
Now, even though I liked how the book ended, to me it left too many questions unanswered. That said, this was a good book. I liked how the storyline flowed and how the characters interacted.

A fun and a bit serious story, Tracie L. • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON (LONE STAR BRIDES #1)

I loved how no matter what station in life mankind has here on earth the soul questions and the deepest of heart longings know no boundaries. The characters are like a reflection of many people we might know in any society. The heart longs to be loved and not rejected; more so, within all hearts God wants us to know Him individually. When life rips away the ones we love or things we hold dear, how do we react or respond? As you are introduced to some of the interesting characters in the novel, don’t be surprised if one of them might remind you of someone. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next novel to be released in June 2014 titled, A Moment in Time.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT

Tracie Peterson is a well-known Christian Fiction author…can you ever go wrong with any of her books? I love the whole “mail order bride” subject in this book…I tend to romanticize the whole ordeal. I’m sure if I had been alive during those times my opinions may have been different!

Following along as Marty and Jake forge a relationship sometimes gives the feeling that we’re on the outside looking in, peering in through their personal windows. But then the mystery of the missing money draws the reader in and you feel less like an intruder, and more like a treasured friend as you help them sort things out along the way.

I give this book 4 stars and would definitely recommend it to Tracie Peterson fans!

  • LITFUSE PUBLICITY: A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT (LONE STAR BRIDES BOOK 1) BY TRACIE PETERSON #GROW4CHRIST

I’ve read other novels that had an arranged or a mail order marriage as part of the plot and this one was no different – the woman is widowed and she vows never to fall in love again and only wants to marry to escape. The difference lies in the fact that the man is forced into finding a bride by his employer and he himself is also a widow and he too does not want to fall in love again. At first I thought “great, another mail order bride novel” but I was thankful that it turned out to be more than that and it was one in which love and also faith grows and becomes part of the characters life. I’ve read other of Tracie’s books and they are always delightful reads – and this one is no different – it was a fabulous read and one that I enjoyed using to take a break from the unpacking……

I was lucky to have picked this book because at first I wasn’t sure I was going to like it. I think some of the best things are found when you least expect it. So this book was a pleasant surprise and gave me wonderful feed good feelings after reading it. Jake Wythe writes a “wife to be” ad for his new promotion and to put his fellow colleagues at ease. He has a 8,000sq ft home, nice job and just wants a hassle less marriage of convenience not complicated love. He has been burned by love in the past. Marty, a widower is on a ranch where she is reminded of her husbands death. She finds the ad and decides to leave her home, family to marry a man she barley knows. This is such a great story and like I said I was very pleasantly surprised.

I loved the setting of this book. Though most of the story takes place in Denver, Colorado, it contains quite a bit of Texas charm with it as well. My personal opinion is that Texas is the ideal location for most novels (though I may be a LITTLE biased about my home state). I love how though Jake has become “refined” and lives a more luxurious life, he is still a Texas cowboy at heart.

  • HISTORICAL WESTERN ROMANCE

A story about a mail-order bride and a young bank officer who needs a wife, “A Sensible Arrangement” is not exactly the typical mail-order bride story. Both parties in this marriage have no expectations of love developing between them. They just want a “sensible arrangement” and their marriage will be mutually beneficial to them. Of course as all readers of historical romance know, there WILL be a romance despite their good intentions.

  • “A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT” BY TRACIE PETERSON

This is the first book I have ever read by Tracie Peterson and now I’m going to have to go track down as many as I can get my hands on because it’s SO GOOD!

    WOW!

An amazing story! Such inspiring characters!
    A great, great read!

From page one I was hooked. (And I’m not much for historical fiction)

I found myself attached to the characters immediately and I laugh at the few other silly reviews I’ve read that say the characters were very flat and unlovable.

Marty is precisely the kind of woman I would expect to read about who hails from Texas. She knows how to take care of herself and she is not afraid of a challenge.

I love how well God is interwoven into the story – even though Marty is not very fond of Him through most of the book.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON

Ever since I read Love Comes Softly I have been a huge fan of marriage of convenience stories, so as soon as I read the synopsis for this book I knew I had to read it. Thankfully it lived up to my expectations and I finished it in less than twenty-four hours!
Marty was a great heroine with a fun blend of tough and gentle. Tough enough to do whatever needed done, yet gentle enough to care about everyone around her. It was fun to watch her transition from a Texas rancher, to a Colorado socialite, though she did it rather well!
Jake was also a pretty awesome hero. I loved his hard-working nature and the way he took care of those in his life.
The staff was an enjoyable mix of characters and I especially enjoyed Brighton and Mrs. Landry’s playful bickering!

  • One of my favorite parts of the story was conversation between Marty and her ladies’ maid, Alice. Marty had been deeply hurt when her first husband died and she did what is so easy to do. She blamed God. After all, God could have stopped the accident that killed her husband. Young Alice has some of the best answers to this dilemma that I have heard. The book is worth reading just for this wisdom. Kudos to Tracie Peterson.

I loved the way Tracie Peterson wove a book incorporating facts from the time period as well as creating a love story that drew me into its pages. I appreciate the great privilege of being able to read Tracie’s 100th book.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT, BY TRACIE PETERSON

A Sensible Arrangement is Tracie Peterson’s 100th book. She releases roughly one historical series every year. While I believe there’s been the odd dud, the majority of her books are of good quality with entertaining storylines. This newest title belongs with the majority. The characters, including minor ones, are interesting. Both Marty and Jake are like fish out of water. They’re used to the simpler life and find it hard to adapt to social expectations. Jake’s boss has high hopes for Jake in banking, and Marty can’t get used to doing nothing except socialize with the other wives of Denver’s elite. A major part of the story is about the Panic of 1893, which had a huge impact on Denver. True personalities are revealed when it comes to those who suffer the most during this financial crisis.

  • ENJOYABLE BEGINNING TO A NEW SERIES

“Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive” ~ Sir Walter Scott had it pegged. While there are many underlying issues and themes we can get from this novel, the major is that a little lie goes a long way in hurting others – but especially yourself. Most of us make excuses for our actions and even convince ourselves that it’s not really lying if we pretty much tell the truth and just leave a few important details out. That it’ll all work out in the end. But God has a way of calling us out for those actions we thought were hidden and were sure wouldn’t hurt anyone else.

This is a promising beginning to a new series by Tracie Peterson. I enjoyed spending my time in its pages and wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to any of my Christian friends.

  • SENSIBLE LOVE STORY

I enjoyed this book because it was a great love story and there was always something going on that was really interesting. I didn’t want to put the book down and had lots of information about the historical references. I guess that is why it took me less than two days to read it while still visiting with family and friends and working. It was interesting and educational at the same time!! I don’t think that it was something that I would normally pick out and that is all the more reason why I am super glad to be part of the Litfuse Publishing review group and got the opportunity to pick out this book! I highly recommend that you check it out too because you will enjoy the quick pace of the story with the great characters.

  • We all have our own difficulties in life, many of which play out inside our own minds. There is relief to be found by being truthful with oneself and with others. It can be better to know you were honest in word and action, even if it was hard and cost you some moments of peace, than to worry inside about that which you are keeping hidden from all.

  • HARD TO PUT DOWN!

A Sensible Arrangement is a total package. Everything you need to be thoroughly entertained all wrapped up in one neat little package. I’m a huge historical fiction fan and this book more than satisfies my craving for an historical romance I can sink my teeth into. I couldn’t put it down and I am not-so-patiently waiting for book two. This book could rival any book by Janet Oke, only with a stronger emphasis on the romantic aspect, and that’s saying a lot. Tracie Peterson is now one of my go-to authors.

  • A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT

Tracie Peterson knows how to write a winner and her latest is no different. Amazing plot lines prove to us that Marty definitely could use some love in her life.

  • I’d like to point out how much this book focuses on God and his hand in bad things that happen to people. I have read other Christian fiction books that have very little mention of religion or God. This one is different and actually brings up many good theological arguments. This book won’t just preach at you; you’ll find yourself examining your thoughts on God and how he expresses his love for us.

  • LONE STAR LADY…

This story will make you laugh and make you grin, and you will feel for Alice and Marty. There’s also a wee bit of a mystery element, and the last few paragraphs are the sweetest part of all.

  • LOVELESS MARRIAGE?

I had the compelling feeling through out this book to keep turning the pages, find out what is going to happen. Then when I was looking for all the answers, the book ended….what? Well I shouldn’t have feared there is another book coming in June that continues the story. Now that I have reassured you and I and we will find out more. I fully urge you to pick this amazing historical read, I had the feeling that history has repeated itself so many times, with the economy in highs and lows.
We meet the high society of Denver, and never would I want to be one of them. This is also a mail-order bride story, two people who have been hurt in the past by love, and want a rather loveless marriage of convenience.

  • TRACIE PETERSON CELEBRATES 100 BOOKS WITH AN IPAD MINI GIVEAWAY AND A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT LIVE WEB CAST

Tracie Peterson has written a story about how some people love God even though they have faced tragedy and others who feel betrayed and have lost their faith. It contains a romance and has a story of suspense. I was given this book by Litfuse Publicity Group and all opinions are my own.

  • BOOK REVIEW: A SENSIBLE ARRANGEMENT BY TRACIE PETERSON

I’ve always loved Tracie’s books, and I enjoyed this historical romance as expected. I liked the characters, and I loved how historical facts were woven into the fabric of this story. Tracie did a good job creating the high-society Denver setting in which the book took place. The story was interesting and I read far more hours than I should have over the course of two days in my eagerness to see what would happen.
