{More about Beloved}

Diana is ready to begin a new chapter in her life—until the husband she believed dead reappears at her engagement party.

Diana Brennan came west on the orphan train and was given a home with a loving couple who cherished and spoiled her. At 17, she fell hard for Tyson Applegate, the son of a wealthy mine owner. After a whirlwind courtship and marriage, Tyson took off for adventures around the world, including fighting with the Rough Riders in Cuba. Receiving no word from him in years, Diana’s infatuation with her dashing husband died an ugly death, and she is ready to move past the old pain and marry again, just as soon as Tyson is declared legally dead.

But when Tyson returns, claiming to be a changed man, he wants to reunite with his wife and run for the senate. While Diana suspects the election is his real reason for wanting her by his side, she agrees to maintain his home and to campaign with him, but when it is over, win or lose, she wants her freedom.

He agrees with one condition—she must give him a chance to change her mind about him.

  • MY FAVORITE OF THE SERIES!!

Beloved is the third book in the Where The Heart Lives series and definitely my favorite! The romance story was so sweet and I loved how unique it was. I loved how throughout the story we got to see little flashbacks from the past – those were very interesting and helped me connect more to the characters/story.

  • BELOVED- ROBIN HATCHER

This was a sweet read. Tyson and Diana had a cute reunion. Really, everything was cute, from their parents to the pets. I kept reading because the relationships were beautiful. However, their was little excitement.

Of everything that happened, I continuously envisioned something grander. The villains and love rivals could have caused so much more damage to the main characters. If the situations had lived up to their potential, this novel could have been riveting, rather than cute.

I would still suggest this novel to anyone looking for an adorable romance. The writing was beautiful and I loved the characters. I just wish that their had been more of the adventure promised in the back cover copy.

I received a copy from Litfuse in exchange for an honest review.

  • FUN, RELAXING READ!

Confused and torn, Diana has some pretty serious decisions to make, but, no worries, this is not a serious, stuffy historical romance, it is full of fun, witty and charming characters.

  • RE-ENVISIONING OF A WELL LOVED PARABLE

In Beloved, Robin Lee Hatcher re-envisions the biblical parable of the Prodigal Son in the moving conclusion of her Where the Heart Lives series. The novel address issues of abandonment, loss and forgiveness in a very realistic way while maintaing the historical integrity of the setting. The retrospective snippets throughout the book give readers and gradual understanding of the history of the fractured relationships between Tyson, his father and wife Diana while tying in seamlessly with their present circumstances and turmoil.

  • BELOVED, WHERE THE HEART LIVES SERIES, BOOK 3, BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

This author never fails to entertain me. The only problem I had with the book was that I did not want it to end. Robin has written a touching story of broken will and mistrust of those whom should have been trusted with their heart and future. As in the relationship between Tyson and his father which stemmed a similar situation in the relationship between Diana and Tyson.

If you are looking for a good read about family, romance, forgiveness, and redemption this is the series to read.

  • BELOVED BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER, ©2013

Diana holds up her end of the agreement in accompanying her husband in political circles, but has a more lax home as she brings in an orphan boy and stray animals that liven up the household. There are additional twists and turns as people from their past enter in. Very well written, standing for truth, the darkness is driven away. The pace of the story is good and results in discoveries neither of them expected. They have both developed stronger character and there are changes in more than their lives. As they realize their true inheritance, they truly are the Beloved.

  • FORGIVENESS, RESTORATION, AND REDEMPTION

Beloved was a wonderful story all around, not just from the story telling aspect. Diana has only known a life of loss and rejection. Her heart has been hardened to protect herself from any other hurts. In all of it though, Diana loves her adoptive mother and the life that she was given with her and her adoptive father.

Tyson, we don’t know much about his background, but when we are first introduced to him, he is repentant and wants to start anew. He wants to bring Diana back into his life, even if it for a short time. The story Tyson presents is like that of the Prodigal Son. As I read his story, I couldn’t help thinking, well, what was the prodigal son like after his father welcomed him back, did everyone welcome him back too with out question? If not, Tyson portrays the story of showing his turn around is true.

  • BELOVED BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER BOOK REVIEW

This was the first book I’ve ever read by Robin Lee Hatcher, and though it wasn’t a huge favorite for me, I did enjoy it and would consider it a nice, quick, one-time read.

Being that this was the first book I’ve read by Robin Lee Hatcher, I really didn’t know how much I would enjoy Beloved. However after reading it, I’m glad I was able to, and enjoyed the story. This book was very unique to me, because unlike most romance novels that focus on how the two people meet, this book was all about this couple’s marriage – which is something you don’t see portrayed in novels a lot now days. I found it very unique and different from any other novel I’ve read.

  • BELOVED REVIEW

When I first started this book, I didn’t think I liked it very much. It seemed like a cliche story, well-written enough, but the same tired, old story. But I kept reading. And eventually, it caught my attention, and I ended up enjoying it. A few new elements were thrown in that held my interest, and what can I say, I’m a sucker for a sweet romance story. Sure, it was predictable, and sure, I rolled my eyes at parts (like a certain villain who continuously vows his revenge), but it was a cute story, good for a light read, maybe even one sitting, curled up in a nest of blankets (which was how I read it!).

  • The book is a testament to how God can take an individual who has committed horrendous wrongs and help him to relinquish control and allow God to guide his life. In contrast to the hurt Tyson caused, God changes everything to love, peace and joy. He blesses Tyson and Diana’s home over and over.

I do recommend this book. Even thought it is a bit predictable, it is a wonderful story.

This book engages quickly, keeping up a steady pace, with plot twists, great side characters, pets, and villains.

Tyson was a fascinating character because he had such a shaded past and how he treated the people around him was despicable, but he showed true repentance and sincerity as well. And Diana was such a strong character to be able to go through was she did.

Robin has woven a beautiful story. I know what it’s like to be hurt and to build up walls around your heart just like the protagonist in this story. But just like her I realised that only God can break them down. He wants us to trust Him and not push Him and others away. This is a great story that illustrates that. The story line is fabulous and I love how she wrote it in such a way that each chapter is mostly about the present story but each chapter also ends with a flash back that gives us a glimpse into the bigger picture. Robin is a fabulous story teller and I highly recommend this book.

Marriage of convenience stories are my favorite, and while this one has a twist—Tyson and Diana have been married for seven years—it still fits the basic trope. It’s definitely one of the better marriage of convenience stories I’ve recently read.

The novel begins when Tyson appears, after being presumed dead for two years, at Diana’s engagement party. The couple’s past is told through short flashbacks at the end of most chapters. This allows the reader to learn about the past without getting bogged down in it.

Beloved is the first Robin Lee Hatcher book I’ve read, but it certainly will not be my last.

  • BELOVED, BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

Beloved is the final book of the Where the Heart Lives trilogy but, thankfully, you don’t need to be familiar with the first two books, Belonging and Betrayal. A short prologue informs the reader about the events regarding the orphan train, and the plots of the other books have no bearing on the plot here.

This is a novel where conflict, misunderstandings and pride all have a part to play. The best aspect of the book, in my view, is the plotline regarding the orphan, Ned. Diana is able to relate to the lad due to her own experiences as a child and […] the house soon becomes a home. The two page epilogue neatly wraps up the series, with brief mentions of Diana’s siblings. For these three orphans there is a happy ending.

  • “BELOVED” BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

Beloved is the perfect conclusion to Hatcher’s latest series. Diana has the ultimate problem – she’s prepared to marry again and secure her future when her thought-to-be-dead husband reappears and ruins her plans. Figuring out what to do next takes both Diana and Tyson on a faith journey that involves a sick dog, demanding parents, a kidnapper, thief, a senatorial election, and a few mysteries, besides. I like the way that each of these obstacles were used not only to advance the plot in action but to allow the characters to grow in their faith, as well.

  • A DELIGHTFUL LOVE STORY

“To say the least, it was inconsiderate of Diana’s almost-dead husband to show up at her engagement party.” How could a lead-in line like that not pique your interest in a story? That kind of “hook” is a great example of the quality of writing in Robin Lee Hatcher’s Beloved and the other two books in her Where the Heart Lives series.

This series was my first venture into Robin Lee Hatcher’s writing, but it will certainly not be my last. Robin tells a captivating story that is a delight to read. The characters come alive and invite you to share their joys and struggles.

  • UNIQUE, INTRIGUING STORY LINE!

As for Beloved, I think this third and final book in the series was the best one of the three! From the minute I started the book, I loved the story line. I was instantly drawn into the hurt and pain that Diana feels being abandoned by her husband for many years and the struggle she faces to forgive him and give him a second chance!

The book was so well written, I felt her pain in my chest and heart as I read and I was very affected by her circumstances! It was also a really great reminder of everything God has done for us and how he forgives even our deepest, darkest sins when we repent and change our ways.

  • ROBIN LEE HATCHERS NOVEL: BELOVED!

I don’t want to be sharing too much more of the tale with you because I don’t want to be spoiling the pure enjoyment of reading the adventure! I can tell you that it was really easy to lose track of time as the climax kept getting more interesting with every page I turned. In January 2014, Robin’s next novel, A Promise Kept, is due to be released and I cannot wait though I suspect I will have to. Bummer, I do love a good story!
Well, with Christmas coming up this is one novel to give as a gift because it is very exciting as well as filled with adventure. It is a book to perhaps curl up with once the snow starts flying along with temps dropping and a mug of hot cocoa. However, if you can read it and enjoy it now, either way this is one to keep in your personal library to read again and again!

Other than the fact I wasn’t crazy about Tyson, I really enjoyed that Hatcher doesn’t get overly long-winded with the supporting characters. Sometimes having a story within a story is nice, but more often than not, I find myself preferring characters that support the hero/heroine instead of having their own story, their own drama, etc. In this case, since it is a wrap up of a trilogy, I was happy that it was to the point and fast paced. I’m sure I would have benefited from reading the first two in the series – but it’s in the works! Happy reading to any soul that cracks this one open.

  • FUN READ

Having read the other books in this series I was curious to read this new book. While you can read all of the book separately, it helps to start at the beginning.
I love the idea for this book, it’s different and could create a multitude of funny moments and overall story line. I did enjoy this book but I feel like the author could have done better in some way to create a more lively story line. It’s a romance and uniquely there is a bad guy-though I think this part is a bit too dramatic.
In any case I like Diana’s character while Tyson does not seem as in depth and irritated me many times.
If you have read the other books in the Where the Heart Lives series you should read this one as well.
    I give it four stars.

This book was so fun to read. I was a little bit worried that I wouldn’t know what was going on having not read the first two books in the series, but it didn’t seem to matter. I am going to read the other two books because I just want to know more about the characters and their backgrounds. Once I started reading Beloved I couldn’t put it down! I enjoyed this love filled adventure very much.

  • BELOVED

It’s definitely a bit of a shock when your husband shows up at your engagement party. The man was supposed to be dead. Why did he come back to life and mess things up?

I’ve previously only read a novella by Ms Hatcher, but now look forward to reading more books by her.

  • “BELOVED” IPAD MINI GIVEAWAY FROM ROBIN LEE HATCHER AND BOOK REVIEW

“Beloved”, is written by Robin Lee Hatcher who has written many wonderful stories. This is one of my favorites. Tyson decides to leave his home and his wife without a word to look for adventure. When he decides to come back and run for office he also realizes that he wants his wife back. This is a story of forgiveness and love. Can faith be enough?

  • A GREAT ENDING TO A GREAT SERIES

Robin did it again and has another hit with this book. There is a little bit of everything in this book from romance to suspense. The characters were very well developed and the scenes were written very well so you feel as if you are write there with them. I like that this book get me turning the pages as it was a good read for me. I think Diana was a strong person and can not imagine what she felt when she found out her husband was not dead. This was a fitting end to the series I just wish the series was continuing.

  • A NEW TWIST ON THE PRODIGAL SON YOU WILL LOVE!!!

This is truly a novel about becoming a new person through the acceptance of Christ. When Tyson left he was searching for happiness and acceptance in every area except through God. When he found Him, he realized he couldn’t spend his life running from his arrogant and controlling father and the new prodigal son returns home to face the consequences of his actions. What he finds there shows us all that redemption can be found if we are willing to take the time to see the changes God can bring about in everyone. I easily rate this one a 4.5 out of 5 stars and found myself rooting for Tyson all the way despite the odds stacked against him.

  • BELOVED

I loved the first two books in this series (my double review is here) but I think this one may be my favorite…Hatcher creates memorable and engaging characters in this engrossing tale of second chances, forgiveness, and softening hearts awakened by love.

  • A WRITER’S REVIEW OF “BELOVED” BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

I was super excited when I first read about the plot of Beloved by Robin Lee Hatcher. The first chapter brought on all kinds of uncomfortable feelings for the heroine (Diana), and the main two characters seemed perfectly at odds with one another–and for good reason. They were still married.

  • 4.5 STARS!

Diana immediately struck me as a strong and complex character. While it seems that she’s overcome many of the challenges of her childhood, it’s obvious that there are plenty of new challenges in her adulthood. She wants to do the right thing but often acts out of fear and resists vulnerability. Of course, though, as she continues to welcome “strays” into her life, those fears are constantly challenged and vulnerability is required. Tyson too is an intriguing character. He has a wild past but by the grace of God he is determined to be an honest, upright man. I loved how he often reflected on the mistakes of his past as he made decisions about his current circumstances. Mrs. Fisher, Mr. Applegate, and Ned were great additions to the story as well and gave the book a well-rounded feel.

  • BELOVED

I thoroughly enjoyed reading BELOVED, and recommend this book to all historical fans. Ms. Hatcher has really managed to bring this series to life, helping us to get to know both Diana and Tyson. I hated some of the choices Diana made, and really fell in love with Tyson. I hoped they would work things out. I loved the way some of the secondary characters played out in this story.

  • BELOVED – ROBIN LEE HATCHER

This one is another winner. Through the extraordinary use of explicit words creating a landscape with vivid imagery, the reader is immersed in the lives of western people in the late 1800s. From the unique beginning, through turmoil, blessings, and struggles we learn to know and love both Diana and Tyson, though both are far from perfect.

  • REVIEW – BELOVED

The plot is about finding a way to forgive someone who has hurt you emotionally and finding away to love them again. For me, the pacing was a little slow and it took me a while to get through the book, though I’m not saying the book is bad, as it is far from it. Beloved is still a good read and I’m still recommending it others.

  • CAPTIVATING!

The author writes this book from a Christian perspective. This view is very believable and commendable in the characters. She shows that when you put your faith in God and you believe in his word your life will be changed. He will meet the desires of your heart and he will change your heart.

This is demonstrated throughout Beloved and played out wonderfully by the characters.

  • GREAT HISTORY & ROMANCE

It really is a good romantic book with several romances going on at the same time along with some great family stories. And who can resist the ones that are set in the past? It makes it that much more enjoyable!

  • A BEAUTIFUL STORY OF REDEMPTION AND SECOND CHANCES

I love a story about redemption. I love stories where the wounds seem too deep, where the mistakes seem too big. I love to see those stories come full circle. I love to see those characters find the redemption they so desperately need, and Robin Lee Hatcher has a knack for doing that in a realistic way. She never takes the easy way out. It doesn’t seem like everything is tied up with a nice little bow, she really works through the pain and betrayal and rejection with her characters in a realistic way…

  • ENJOYED THIS BOOK

Not having read the first two books in “Where the Heart Lives” series, not sure if I am at a disadvantage as to their stories being connected or related to the characters in Beloved. But, that didn’t take my interest and enjoyment of this tale of Diana and Tyson’s awkward twist of the unexpected. Robin wrote a shock wave in the first few lines that hooked my curiosity right away!!!

I recommend anyone who enjoys reading any novel !!!!!

  • BELOVED BOOK REVIEW

The more I read, the back story (mainly Tyson’s) came through and I was able to follow along quite nicely and see that Tyson’s spiritual relationship and his feelings for Diana were genuine.

All in all, this was a good book, one I enjoyed. The series was interesting and one I wouldn’t mind reading again.
