“Heitzmann weaves a many-layered tale keep[ing] readers entertained and wondering when the next bit of drama will occur.” –Publishers Weekly

Corporate turnaround specialist Morgan Spencer, dubbed the “success guru,” has a Midas touch in business. But losing his wife sent him to the brink, and his two-year-old daughter, Livie, is all he’s living for–until they encounter a woman whose trouble just might draw him out of his own.

Four years ago Quinn Reilly did the right thing. Now the man her testimony put in jail is getting out. Though she has put up barriers to protect herself and those around her, she has come to care for the Spencer family, especially the winsome Livie and her mercurial father. Unwilling to put them at risk when the threats begin, she requests something she hopes the super-successful Morgan might be able to deliver.

Fixing problems is what Morgan does best, but his counterproposal takes them in a direction neither is equipped to handle. Determined to confront the past, will they survive to build a future?

“I am thrilled Kristen delves deeply into her protagonists’ psyches, that she pens a moving relationship drama rather than a lighthearted romance, and she provides readers with a complete story that is emotive, thought provoking, spiritually intelligent, and engaging in every aspect. More, please!”

  • THE BREATH OF DAWN BY KRISTEN HEITZMANN

Heitzmann has created a story that will captivate you and keep you turning until the very last page. Her characters are strong and complex but also relate-able and fragile that you will connect to their stories. This book is hard to put into only one genre, Heitzmann is an amazing writer that can write across genres in one book from romance to suspense to mystery this book has it all.

This book took me on an emotional roller coaster from the first page. The first paragraph, really. I loved meeting Quinn and little Livie was adorable.

Kristen made these characters so real just as she did in every other book I’ve read from her. I should have never doubted!

  • THE BREATH OF DAWN

This is a captivating story line. There are so many threads going, intrigue, supernatural, romance, suspense, murder. I don’t even know just how I’d categorize it. I just know that I didn’t even want to put it down! I read it in a matter of days. It’s a thick book 437 pages. Well worth the time and money in my opinion.

  • BOOK REVIEW – “THE BREATH OF DAWN”

Kristen does such a great job creating stories that will be read over and over again by her fans! She ties together romance and mystery in such a way that I just want to keep reading the book until I reach the end and then I do not want it to end as I have become so immersed in the characters’ lives! The characters in “The Breath of Dawn” are so real, they could be your neighbor and they are easy to relate to as well as empathize with and cheer for in the midst of their struggles
and trying to figure out life. Morgan and Quinn are both excellent main characters who come to live in the pages of the book and will be in your mind long after you finish reading.

I have read every book that Kristen has wrote, if you have not read her books you are missing out big time.
I love contemporary romantic suspense books. This one was so good Kristen pulls you in from page one. You see the characters come to life right on the page.
The suspense had me on the edge of my sit, will he find her, will he kill her, what is going to happen next. Every page was full of so much suspense.
Oh I can’t forget about the romance that was just as thrilling as the edge of your sit suspense.
I give The Breath of Dawn 5 stars

I absolutely love Kristen Heitzmann’s books! Always full of suspense and intrigue, this book is as fast-paced as the others. Quinn Reilly makes a spunky and resourceful lead character as she struggles to do what’s right and avoid the trouble she senses ahead. Morgan plays the wounded warrior coming to the rescue of his damsel -in-distress, and nobody does it better. The pain each feels pulls you in and makes you want to cheer them on, and the issues coming at them keep the pages turning.

  • BOOK REVIEW: “THE BREATH OF DAWN” BY KRISTEN HEITZMANN

The director, Alfred Hitchcock, described thriller this way: a terrorist goes into a restaurant and plants a bomb under a table then leaves. Two young mothers come and sit at that table with their babies in carriers unaware of the ticking bomb under the table set to go off in half an hour. As the young women talk the audience is aware of the ticking clock and they begin to scream at the screen demanding the women leave quickly which, of course, they don’t. “The Breath of Dawn” is a Hitchcock thriller with all of the above elements. Four years ago Quinn Reilly gave testimony that put a man behind bars and a threat on her life, now that man is getting out of prison. That’s the ticking bomb aspect. Quinn gets involved with Morgan Spencer and his daughter. With her Morgan’s cold heart

  • REVIEW: THE BREATH OF DAWN

Kristen Heitzmann has the refined talent for examining the human condition through provocative and complex fiction. She takes her characters to the darkest depths so that the brilliant light of hope and healing can shine in all their divine glory. Breath of Dawn is an exhilarating thriller deliciously flavoured with romance and supported by a weaving storyline. The breadth of emotion and authenticity that is breathed in to these characters is finely balanced with entertainment of a captivating suspense. Many have tried but few pen suspense as well as Kristen Heitzmann. Her writing envelops a reader and allows them to enter the story from various perspectives so that they are fully immersed and invested in the outcome.

  • A PERFECT BLEND OF ROMANCE AND SUSPENSE.

I found this book to be a fast paced, interesting blend of characters and situations. Best known for her romantic suspense, Heitzmann delivers again with another story that her fans will enjoy. The two main characters are grieving in different ways, and through their grief they find a connection. Both are trying to escape their past and end up having to face hard issues head on. I enjoyed the “oil and water” combination of personalties and the way the author makes the story come alive with her descriptive writing. For those who love mystery and suspense, combined with a good love story – this book offers it all!

Let me tell you what I did like about The Breath of Dawn by Kristen Heitzmann. I loved that the main character was a woman who was willing to work hard for a good job well done. I admire that. She also had her flaws, namely that fear can really skew the way one processes thought. But of course she also was able to keep her head in the middle of a crisis. I know that is me, straight forward thinking til all is alright. Then I fall apart!

  • BLOG TOUR: BREATH OF DAWN

Rather than create a “fast pace” novel, Heitzmann instead develops a storyline that has depth. It makes you stop and ponder the character’s next moves. It had some surprising twists and turns – in fact a piece of Quinn’s past was unexpected – along with the side storyline of RaeAnn.

I’ll admit, it took me a while to appreciate the story. I’m used to suspense novels that have a “flash/bang” approach.

I thought it was a great “stand-alone” novel – in fact, I didn’t realize some of the characters (Noelle/Rick & Jill/Morgan) had been previously featured in novels. This is one of the first novels I’ve read written by Heitzmann and I’ll be reading more!

  • THE BREATH OF DAWN BY KRISTEN HEITZMANN

I was gripped from the very first chapter. The prologue did a great job explaining the history and my heart broke for Morgan and for his wife and precious daughter. Knowing this was only a story, I found it so easy to relate as a real-life scenario in which loved ones are taken away by accidents daily. Even though I barely knew Jill as a character, I felt as though I needed to grieve along with Morgan for a bit before I could begin to accept him possibly having an interest in someone else. I liked Quinn and her personality. It was endearing and an easy-to-like kind of girl.

Heitzmann has weaved an intriguing tale of love, trust, betrayal, and second chances. The plot is full of twists and turns, but it never seems contrived. And the characters seem like people you could actually meet in real life.

The Breath of Dawn is Heitzmann’s third book featuring the Spencer family (A Rush of Wings and The Still of Night are the first two), yet it functions well as a stand alone novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!

  • AN EXCITING AND SUSPENSEFUL ROMANCE

Kristen has written another winner for me. I so enjoy going back to places I’ve been and visiting people I’ve met so reading about Rick and Noelle and Morgan was almost like old home week.

Kristen’s characters are so full of life that you can’t help but feel the joys and pain and get caught up in their healing. Watching how she brings Quinn and Morgan together was almost like listening to a symphony.

  • BOOK REVIEW: THE BREATH OF DAWN

Heitzmann has created a wonderful romance tinged with suspense and tension. She has also included a dose of spiritual warfare that is down right creepy! At 400+ pages, you will not want this story to end. The best part of the book are the characters, though. Morgan Spencer is larger than life — a great romantic character. Quinn is quiet, yet feisty when needed. And you will absolutely fall in love with Morgan’s pint-sized daughter, Livvie. These are characters that become real to the reader.

  • SIMPLY WONDERFUL

Right from the first few paragraphs in the prologue this book had me hooked. The story begins with sadness and flows into new beginnings. The two main characters meet and the romance story begins…

Then with one phone call, in one paragraph, and without warning – suspense is introduced. Already drawn into the story and the characters, the pages turn furiously following the drama and wondering where it will end. Simply wonderful!

  • BREATH OF DAWN – KIRSTEN HIETZMANN

Another spell binding, adrenaline rush novel by Kristen Hietzmann that once started is about impossible to lay aside for mundane everyday common jobs such as eating and sleeping. A well written novel, with characters that will remain in your mind long after the book is put back on the shelf for a season. i thoroughly enjoyed it, and recommend it to every one who enjoys a good novel.

  • A BREATH OF DAWN

This book is good even before the ‘action’ starts, great characters, a fun background and quite a bit of suspense…..all jumbled up to keep you on your toes. Love the romance, the Ebaying, and of course the sense of fear.

Kristen Heitzmann grabbed me from the very beginning of this book. I don’t know quite how she does it, but she had me feeling tension and dread throughout the book.

  • REVIEW WITH GIVEAWAY: THE BREATH OF DAWN

The Breath of Dawn by Kristen Heitzmann is a book I just could not put down. I read through it amazingly quickly, largely because I just never wanted to stop. I wanted to keep going. See how things played out. The bad thing was that very close to the end I had to put it down for about 12 hours, and then had to force myself to finish it. It wasn’t because it was bad; it wasn’t. I think it was more just that I wanted to prolong my enjoyment of the story.

  • ABSOLUTELY STUNNING

I absolutely loved this book. The Breath of Dawn is a captivating story line. There are so many threads going, romance, supernatural intrigue, supernatural, suspense, murder. From cover to cover, she talks on you a journey worth the trauma faced to applaud for the life in the end.

  • ANOTHER WINNER FROM AUTHOR, KRISTIN HEITZMANN

Author Kristin Heitzmann has done it again. She has created a novel with characters that are likable and real. They have suffered and sometimes want to give up. But like all of us, something keeps them going.

Breath of Dawn has all the elements of a successful suspense story, including a threatening villain and a mystery. I couldn’t put it down!

  • BREATH OF DAWN BY KRISTEN HEITZMANN

love a good romance especially when it involves two people who deserve the very best. That is exactly what I found in Kristen Heitzmann’s The Breath of Dawn . This was an incredible book about two people who, although they deserved the very best in life, had suffered some of the worst trials and how they help each other to succeed in continuing into the future. Little Livie was a highlight for me and I often felt as if she was one of my own children. This is a great read you won’t want to miss!

  • EXCITING AND FAST PACED.

There wasn’t much about this book that I didn’t like. It was a little on the unbelievable side, but that’s what makes for such good fiction. The story takes lots of twists and really stay exciting till the end of the book.
