{More about Gabby’s Stick to it Day}

Our favorite little angel is back with more giggles, more fun, and an important message for little girlsdon’t give up when things get hard.

Gabby is a little guardian angel with a big job to do! Watching over Sophie is hard work, but Gabby knows that God wants her to stick to it.

Gabby, God’s Little Angel, flies to the rescue as Sophie attempts to help others but has a little trouble sticking with things. Sophie tries to be helpful by washing the family dog for her mom, but she gives up when she’s the one who ends up all wet. She then tries to be kind by reading to her little brother, but he has plans of his own, which include a splash of cereal right in Sophie’s face! When Sophie is ready to quit once again, it’s up to Gabby to encourage her to keep trying and to teach her what the Bible says about perseverance: “We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NCV)

Lindsey at Babies, Books, and Signs I love the Gabby books and I really hope that there are more. They get their message across in a simple way that children can understand without being preached to.

Pamela at Life as MomCEO An adorable tale of God’s littlest angles. Helps our children here on earth find meaning to lifes’ lil’ problems and struggles and teaches them to live by God’s good values.

Patricia at It’s Time To Read Mamaw I was very touched by this endearing little story about Gabby and Sophie and the Stick to it Day. The illustrations depict the authors writing without any doubt as to what the story is about. Even if a child just looks at the pictures they will be able to tell what Gabby and Sophie are up to. Of course you must read the book with to the child so they will get the full picture. I am sure your child with be delighted with this book.

Amy at A Nest in the Rocks Walsh teaches about the roles of angels in our children’s lives with this new Gabby series while at the same time teaching important life lessons from the Bible.  Can a children’s book get any better?

Debra at Footprints in the Butter Sheila Walsh takes a pretty common kid experience (quitting something when it gets too hard) and she gives me language I can use when Trina is having trouble ‘sticking to it’ in her life too.  And not just Trina, either, as a couple of her big brothers manage to slip into the room to listen to the story too.  It is a little too “girly” looking for them to readily admit that they are interested in the story, but I think at ages 4-6, they would have done great with it directly.

Abi at 4 the LOVE of BOOKS The Gabby books are bright and colorful and filled with fun loving practical situations that all active little girls find themselves in.  You can’t go wrong with Gabby books.

Monique at Arms of a Sister It’s fun watching Gabby interact wit Sophie, and even more fun to watch her impart some words of wisdom in Gabby’s ear right when she needs it the most. You’ll enjoy reading this book to your little ones (over and over and over again), and you just might learn a lesson or two yourself!

Melissa at Hidden Valley Simplicity (Daughter’s review) I like this story. I like the pictures. I like the flowers in Sophie’s hair. Can we read it right now again?

Heidi at Starts At Eight There is yet another fantastic message to our children in this one about starting what you finish, even when the going gets tough! I love how Sheila uses tasks that are relatable, like helping out by washing something, in this case the dog, or helping out with a younger sibling.

Julie at More Of Him This is one of the sweetest and cutest children’s books I’ve read in a long time.

Kimberly at Saving More Than Me Parents, if you are looking to start a conversation with your child about not giving up in the face of adversity, this book will help you do that.

Theresa at Just One More Paragraph Although targeted for the 5-7 age range, this beautifully illustrated book will delight children (especially girls) of all ages.

Nicole at Wyoming Girl *turned* Coastie Wife This book is absolutely delightful! I love the sweet characters, the gorgeous illustrations, and the fun font that skips and twirls on the pages. It is the “just right” length for a bedtime story for Amber, and contains valuable lessons and Bible verses that she can take away and apply to life. In short it is everything I look for when picking stories for her and Tyler!

Diane at That’s What I’m Here For…. This would make a wonderful gift book or just a special, thinking of you gesture. This looks to be a sweet book series that any girl would be happy to own.

Christine at The IE Mommy Gabby’s Stick-to-It Day is a good lesson on not giving up and helping others. It was a cute story that even little boys enjoy!

Danielle at The Happy Wife It is a nice, short story that delivers a message, both spiritual and a general life lesson, as well.

Vic’s Media Room “Gabby’s Stick-to-It Day” is a real treat for girls age 3 and higher.

Gina at Gypsy Mama Logs My daughters LOVED the illustrations, and my youngest really enjoyed the story.

Jeremy at Christian Fiction Addiction Gabby’s return in the latest children’s book from Sheila Walsh will absolutely delight the little princesses in your life!

Nicole at Bless their hearts mom I love this series as it helps teach character with Christian values! It is on the top of my list for books to give to little girls especially!

Ruth at My Devotional Thoughts I thought the illustrations in the book were really good. (Reviewed by my 8 year old daughter.)

Kaylea st My Scrappy Life If you have a young child who needs to learn how to stick with it, this book will at least give you something to start them talking – especially when Sophia sticks with her task even when her brother throws spaghetti at her.

Stephanie at Coupon Clippin’ Mommy Shelia Walsh has another great story out with Gabby’s Stick-to-it-Day!

Roxanna at The Jolly Blogger This book isn’t just about DOING good — it is about thinking positively and following through.

Deb’s Here This is such a cute book~I love all the illustrations as they seem to jump off the page at you. They are so colorful and keep the kids attention. I like the message that it teaches kids to not stop a task just because it seems difficult. I think that girls of all ages will love this book, not just the little ones!

Jasmine at the bookish mama It is such a comforting message to not give up even when things are tough or uncomfortable and I love the way Walsh presents this message in Gabby’s Stick-to-It Day.

Krystal at Live To Read Children, especially little girls, will be attracted to the bright, happy pictures while reading. Gabby’s Stick-to-It Day allows the young reader to have fun and learn an important lesson with Sophie.

Heather at Proud Book Nerd The second book in the Gabby series is a cute and fun to read as the first.

Loren at Heartofabookworm I just fell in love with this book and the most important opinion for me came from my Grandaughter, Rylee. Sitting down and reading is definitely one of Rylee’s favorite things to do! She absolutely loved this book. She asked to read it over and over! That is when you know it is a winner 🙂

Annette at In Wonder Every page of this sweet book is adorably illustrated.  It is written in fun and colorful font that makes it an easy read for little readers.

Tammy at In R Dream The first time I read this story to our children. All eyes and ears were present for each word.

Laura at Day by Day in Our World I am all for creative ways to get kids thinking about different traits we want to encourage, such as perseverance.  This story fits the bill for the younger crowd.

Marg at Simply Shop and Save The story of *Gabby’s Stick to It Day* is a delightful story with the message of finishing what you start and doing a good job.

Deborah at The Bookish Dame Reviews

Heather at Faith, Family and Fun The characters and events really help little ones see how our faith is lived out in the world. A memory verse is good, but teaching it through story makes the concept and meaning so much clearer.

Lisa at Our Country Road We LOVED Gabby’s Stick-to-it Day! Not too long, not too short, lots of humor, and great for the imagination!

Melissa at Keeping Up With The Rheinlander’s The book is illustrated beautifully and keeps the younger ones attention! My little loved this book and enjoyed the characters especially the dogs (since we have 3)!

Dusty at To the Moon and Back This is a very cute, encouraging story for little girls based on Galations 6:9.

Carrie at Farming On Faith Oh my goodness ~ this is the cutest book ever.

Hey Lorri This is an adorable addition to the Gabby series.  Not only are the illustrations big and colorful, but the story is something kids can relate to, both girls and boys.  Gabby has her hands full throughout the story, but at the end, she is even closer to her little brother.

Maureen’s Musing The drawings and the glitter cover really drew my kids in, and the use of a dog put them over the top! The kids were enchanted with the fact that they might have Guardian Angels!

Lisa at A Life Full of Laughte Sheila Walsh has an extraordinary ability to write in a way that is interesting yet challenging for a child.  This book is perfect as a read aloud book for children ages 3 – 7.

Christy at A Living Homeschoo Young readers will appreciate the way Gabby speaks in a realistic way, much like most girls do.

Emmi at Mommy’s Free Time I personally love how the book is based on a bible verse. We’ve told my daughter that she has guardian angels and they help her do what is right. This book teaches a bible lesson using words and stories that even a 3 year old can understand! It’s also a quick read, perfect for bedtime.
