Opening your heart to God’s perfect gifts

Sundin’s final book in the Wings of the Nightingale series calls us to release regret and embrace love

Seattle: When you can’t get over the mistakes of your past, it’s nearly impossible to accept the gifts of the present. In her final installment in the Wings of the Nightingale series, In Perfect Time(Revell/August 1, 2014/ISBN: 978-0800720834/$14.99), Sarah Sundin introduces readers to two characters entrenched in the perils of World War II who are forced to confront their inability to receive the love and grace of God.

Bold, sophisticated and flirtatious, Army Air Force flight nurse Lt. Kay Jobson collects hearts wherever she flies, leaving men pining in airfields all across Europe. Sundin reveals there is more than meets the eye to Kay’s coquettish ways. “For Kay, collecting men’s hearts gives her a sense of control and also serves as a form of rebellion against her overbearing father.”

Kay’s tumultuous relationship with her dad has also impacted the way she views God. Like so many others, she has subconsciously transferred the weaknesses of her earthly father onto the Lord. “For Kay, this is a serious problem, one she isn’t even aware of,” Sundin explains. “We must recognize this natural human tendency, and then carefully extract the negative traits we’ve unwittingly placed on our perfect God. Immersing ourselves in the Bible and in prayer shows us the truths of who God actually is.”

Ruggedly handsome C-47 pilot Lt. Roger Cooper initially appears to be all but immune to Kay’s considerable charms. Ashamed of his past, Roger has built walls around his heart to protect himself from temptation, yet he is intensely drawn to the beautiful flight nurse. As he glimpses the pain in her heart, he begins to wonder if his story might be just what she needs to hear.

As the two cross the skies between Italy and southern France, evacuating the wounded and delivering paratroopers and supplies, every beat of their hearts draws them closer to where they don’t want to go. Can they confront their pasts and accept the gift of love that is calling out to them?

Although Sundin never quotes this Scripture in the book, she admits much of In Perfect Time was inspired by James 1:17: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.” Both Kay and Roger have to find a way to accept the fact that God doesn’t give to us because we’re good, but because He is good. They can’t earn His gifts — and neither can we.

Sundin admits bringing her Wings of the Nightingale series to an end was as bittersweet for her as it will be for her readers. Yet while fans mourn the end of this series, they will also be enraptured by this tale filled with emotion, action and romance, as it transcends time and calls them to believe in the power of love.

Suggested interview questions

— All of your books are set during World War II — what is it about that era that draws you in?

— What is the overall spiritual theme or message in this new book, In Perfect Time?

— Was there a particular Scripture verse that inspired you as you wrote this book?

— Your main character, Kay, is actually a bit of a flirt, so much so that it’s impacting her career as a nurse. What drives her to seek out so much male attention?

— Readers will get a sense she is also very wary of making any sort of commitment to a man.

— What is the basis for this fear? Do you think single women in our culture today will be able to identify with her feelings?

— In the book we see a tension between those who have faith and those do not; why are people sometimes so sensitive when their friends try to talk about their faith?

— What can we learn from Kay’s relationships that we can apply to our own friendships with non-Christians?

— You write in this book about the tensions that can exist between a father and daughter. How can that influence how a woman views God? Other men?

— The two main characters connect over difficult pasts. How would you encourage readers to allow God to use their pasts to minister to others?

— This is the final book in the Wings of the Nightingale series. Is it sad for you when you complete a series as it is for some readers?

  • IN PERFECT TIME

In Perfect Time was an amazing read and the perfect way to end this fantastic series! The first two books left me so eager for Kay’s story and it surpassed my expectations!

Sarah is definitely one of my favorite authors by far. She does such a great job with things like the tiniest of details that are perfectly accurate.

Both Kay’s and Roger’s pasts were tragic and definitely made me feel for them. I loved seeing their transformed lives and that the Gospel message was so prevalent to the story, but not in a pushy way –it flowed naturally.

One of my favorite things about this author’s books is that they all tie together very neatly and with this series, they also overlap each other a bit.

  • BOOK REVIEW: IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

Hello again, savvy savers! Today finds us with another great book review, and this time its In Perfect Time by Sarah Sundin.

This story, Wings of the Nightingale Book #3, centers on a World War II trio of Army Air Force flight nurses who, work to overcome an abusive, mundane childhood by giving their best service to their country. The narratives protagonist, Kay, a flirty, light-hearten nurse, seeks comfort in Lt. Roger Cooper, a man also haunted by childhood horrors. The pair try to maintain a healthy emotional distance from others, but are incredibly drawn to one another. In spite of both vowing not to get involved with each other, God has other plans.

This book is full of heartfelt, commonplace sensibility, which lends itself to the idea that this couple, their troubles, and blessings, would just as easily be a modern love story as a story of yesteryear.

Be sure to visit the author’s website to learn more about this book and her other titles!

    Enjoy!

  • EAGERLY AWAITED AND HAPPILY READ!

I love that the first true interaction between the hero and heroine is when he gives her his Bible. What started for her as a means to a better job became truly life changing. Most of the other characters are carried over from the first 2 books. It was good to read a bit more about the heroines from the previous 2 books. I also really enjoyed the peek into the lives of the Italian partisans too.

Everything seems well researched to me; it is certainly believable and weaves history in without making me want to skip a page or two. The point of view switches between the hero and heroine and is not confusing at all. Sometimes it made me want to bang their heads together, but they finally worked it out on their own. LOL I also think it would make a great movie.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

Sarah Sundin is one of my top favorite authors for historical fiction. I have really enjoyed each one of her books and they keep getting better and better. This series, the Wings of Nightingale, focuses on WWII and the Air Force.

Kay Johnson is a flight nurse and she has a bit of a wild side. She is known for the way she spends her time at night and the string of men she has. I liked the imperfection of Kay and Roger. I did laugh a little at some of the ways he tried to avoid her.

  • IN PERFECT TIME #BOOKREVIEW @LITFUSE

This book had me spellbound. I have decided I must go back and find the other books by this author and catch up! First, there is the nursing aspect. I’m a nurse and I love reading about nursing in different eras. And then there is the fact that it takes place in WWII, which is one of the periods of time that my husband and I reenact. So there were two reasons to love it before I even started reading! But then I started reading and found out that this is wonderful! I was so hooked. I had to keep reading. I couldn’t stop! I was holding my breath to find out if they would survive and if they would get together or even get back to the United States! Wow! Such a great read!

  • IN PERFECT TIME

Sarah Sundin writes great WW II novels and since I am a nurse, I have especially been loving this series that focuses on flight nurses. Only a skilled author can develop a character like Kay Jobson, heartily disliked as a secondary character in the first book and reluctantly tolerated in the second, but who experienced a turnaround and became someone I cheered for and actually liked in this final story. Sundin brings the series to a satisfying conclusion as the War winds down.

  • “IN PERFECT TIME” BY SARAH SUNDIN

Kay has baffled me from the beginning of the series, and I enjoyed the opportunity to hear her heart. Watching her truly fall in love for the first time was enlightening. That’s really what the entire book was about – Kay believing that she is worthy of love, not just easy love from the closest male, but true, deep love from God Himself. The lessons that she learned about love and forgiveness are ones that we each need to internalize at some point in our lives.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

In Perfect Time really is genuinely perfect because of its flaws; it’s one of those rare narratives that is able to use its sincerity to an advantage and isn’t afraid to be what it is, which is a story of genuine friendship, love in the face of potential tragedy and two hearts more concerned with their impression of the other person than in laying their heart bare.

The relationships within this novel were interesting and really contributed well to create an emotionally in-depth and historically accurate fiction novel. The characters experienced so much growth over the course of the novel. I especially liked how Roger becomes more and more confident in himself and his abilities and how he is finally able to clearly see in himself what others have seen all along. His decision about his career at the end of the novel was deeply satisfying, and it was a stand-out part of the book for me. I also liked that his characters played the drums – that was a unique twist.

  • IN PERFECT TIME (WINGS OF THE NIGHTINGALE, #3) BY SARAH SUNDIN

My goodness, this story was worth the wait and a great way to round out the series with a perfect revisit to both Mellie and Georgie, yet also to see their own romances progress and to learn more about Kay and Roger the proclaimed singles meant to stay single for protection from their own separate pasts. Seeing God work in the lives of these characters was emotional and provided for much page turning. I could go on and on, but truly the most important part is to tell you that I truly enjoy the writing of Sarah Sundin and I just cannot get enough!

  • WONDERFUL HISTORICAL STORY!

In Perfect Time is the third and final book in the Wings of the Nightingale series. What an incredible read it is! This series follows a group of female flight nurses in World War II. I love how each book builds on the last. (You don’t have to read them in order, but I would definitely recommend that you do!) • A PERFECT CONCLUSION

I just finished In Perfect Time and almost hated to see the series end. The nurses, pilots, and other characters from this World War II setting became my close friends, and I feel like I have experienced almost every emotion possible with them. These stories bring to life some of the joys and horrors their real-life counterparts experienced. The theme of God’s willingness to accept and redeem everyone, no matter the past, shines throughout this book. And the romance is beautifully handled at a level that is both compelling and tasteful.

  • A BOOK THAT KEEPS YOU HOOKED UNTIL THE VERY LAST PAGE!

I love war torn stories and my very favorites are centered around WWII. This is my first book by Sarah Sundin and I can honestly say it’s one of my all-time favorite WWII romances. I haven’t read the previous books in this series and I didn’t gave to I order to follow this story but I am looking forward to going back and reading them. Sarah created such believable and lovable characters and her knowledge of the war, flying and nursing is testimony to the research that went into writing this book. The story is so engaging I felt like I was a part of it and I certainly hated to see it end. It’s wrapped in a thin cloak of inspirational overtones that doesn’t make the reader feel as if religion is being forced on them but sprinkled lightly!

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

Sarah Sudin is an author whose research into the World War II period can be depended upon and she brings a wealth of rich history to her stories. In Perfect Time brings the 802nd Medical air Evacuation Transport Squadron to the forefront. A real event that is brought to life in the book (novel) is a crash landing and ultimate rescue in Albania in Nazi-occupied territory. Events aboard the 64th Troop Carrier become real. There are true scenes strewn throughout this story of war and romance.

There is more romance and intense flirting involved in this story that I care to recommend unless it is for mature readers. That is not to say it is vulgar or steamy, it just reveals girl/boy or woman/man relationships that I believe is best not read by our teenage girls.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

This is book three in the Wings of the Nightingale series set during WWII. The characters are the same so I recommend reading the books in order. It is a great series and I loved all the books. They are Christian historical romance books. The author does a great job with descriptions and making you feel like you are there. This book centers more on Kay Jobson and Roger Cooper. Kay is a good time gal who leads all the unmarried on without going all the way. She has a past that she does not like telling people about. Her father was a tent preacher who treated her bad and told her lies. Roger has a big farm family but because of the wild way he lived his life until the military they do not think he will amount to much. Roger and Kay know each other through mutual friends and the fact he is a pilot and she is a flight nurse. They have sparks but both are cautious. Roger has decided to stay away from women especially Kay since he’s attracted to her. Kay does not understand because all she knows is flirting. Most of the book happens overseas in Italy and France during WWII. The war as a setting works good while highlighting unsung heroes. The conclusion is satisfying and ties up the series as well as this book. I really liked the whole series and recommend them

  • HATED IT TO END

In Perfect Time is the third book in the Wings of the Nightingale Series, and I have enjoyed them all. The books are written in as if we are the eyes of three different women and seeing the same events, each one the same but not. Of course there are a lot of different things that happen, as we all have our own lives.
Oh how I loved this and all of the books, we relive WWII through the eyes of these people. We learn so many facts about the invasions, and what happened during this time, that we have either forgotten or didn’t know. These should be a must read for all Americans, the sacrifices made by these individuals that made our country free, if not for them we all might be speaking German?

  • IN PERFECT TIME

The audience will see themes of love, redemption and choosing to believe Him or their past. The truth shown is that while not all peoples’ pasts are filled with wonderful memories, God can take the memories and use them for His glory. I loved how parents are shown for the humans they are even when at times it just isn’t pretty. Words can hurt no matter who they come from, and the characters had to choose whether to believe God or the past lies that kept playing inside their minds. I thought it wonderful how when God changes us it matter little whether others see the changes in us or not, but we are changed because of what He has done for us. I thank the women who served in WWII in many capacities whose stories have been shared for generations to read, learn from and follow in their footsteps. I know the author had to end the series where she did and well done it is too! However, I will miss reading more about these characters yet look forward to what comes next from the pen of this amazing writer!

  • In Perfect Time was a heartfelt and sweet story. The title fit it well as it just showed that there is a perfect time for some things, for hearts and minds to change, to people to meet at certain times when they can touch another’s life. The romance was a part of the story, but there was so much more going on and I loved how each aspect of the story fit all together. If you enjoy reading Christian historical romance, then definitely recommend In Perfect Time! Now I need to go back and read the other books in this series.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BOOK REVIEW

In Perfect Time by Sarah Sundin is the third book in the series of Wings of the Nightingale. Three flight nurse stories are told in these historical and romantic novels. I really enjoyed the first two books, but I wasn’t a fan of Kay Jobson and was not quite sure how I would like this novel. I did feel that the beginning was a little slow, but when Kay and Roger started interacting more and they were put in a tense situation I saw the story blossom with unique twists and turns. I loved the tension in the relationship and the special signals each developed for each other. Sarah knows how to weave history, romance and action into an exciting and page turning novel.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

Sarah Sundin always manages to stunningly capture aspects of World War II often overlooked by generic history textbooks. Her Wings of the Nightingale series provides a fascinating portrayal of the role of flight nurses in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations, vividly reliving the experience with unique and authentic characters. Now, this overarching storyline concludes perfectly in the series’ third novel, In Perfect Time, with an unexpected and stirring romance.

  • A BEAUTIFULLY TOLD STORY!

I’ve been wanting to read this series for a while. I have heard fantastic things about each of these books. I was not disappointed.

Have you ever met someone and when you spoke to them they had such knowledge and passion over a topic, or visited a friends house and they have what they love on display? I found out from reading Sarah Sundin’s book, In Perfect Time, that she has such a knowledge and passion for WW2. It’s a subject that is close to her. Her knowledge of the history is put on display for you on every page. The mannerisms, the clothing, music, speech, and the war, it’s all there.

I especially enjoy fiction with an historical setting and “In Perfect Time” met all of my expectations. Great characters, interesting plot and terrific historic details. • I NEVER TIRE TO READ THE LATEST OFFERING OF THIS TALENTED STORYTELLER

IN PERFECT TIME, Book 3 of the Wings of the Nightingale series written by Sarah Sundin was once again, everything I hoped for. There is no denying this talented Christian author knows her craft: she regularly offers her readers a beautiful story set in the tumultuous years of
WW 2, highlighted with excellent research and heart warming characters.

And once more, her male character will reach out to hearts all over the world with his solid charm, his insecurity and his deep yearning for making something of himself. Army Air Force Flight nurse Kay Jobson is part of those dreams, and a joy he will not allow himself to accept in his life until God shows him otherwise.
In no time you realize C-47 pilot Lt. Roger Cooper needs His Heavenly Father now more than ever if he is to win this particular lady!

  • What I liked best . . .

How Sarah Sundin brings the World War II settings to life
The great dynamic between Roger & Kay
    Roger’s marked up old Bible
Catching up with Georgie and Mellie (from previous books in this series)
A beautiful scene where an old hymn works truth & healing in Kay’s heart
    The action—-an especially harrowing capture
    The USO war bonds tour
    The Nightingale Sisters
    The sweetly satisfying ending
How much my students love these books, as well!

***Kay and Roger help each other wage powerful inner battles to overcome the negative messages of their youth and see themselves as God sees them. Their personal struggles and growth—-set against the backdrop of the fierce fighting around them—-make this a riveting, romantic story.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN, © 2014

The author has written events so clearly you can identify with their thoughts and feelings. As a C-47 pilot, Roger is responsible for his carrier and those aboard. I like how Kay comes to terms with the changes in her life, while others are unsure of her turnabout. When the flight team bonds because of urgency, they become a true unit. What is important comes to the surface.

This final story brings the series together, realizing the strength they have obtained and the future they have in perfect time.

  • WONDERFUL FLIGHT

In Perfect Time is the first book in this series I have read and I am glad I did. As a fan of Christian Historical Fiction I was drawn to this book. Sarah Sundin writes with authority on Army Air Force Nurses, and Pilots during WWII, about Europe and America during this time, and the lives of the residents and soldiers of this time.Although this is a fiction book, much of it is historically accurate. I learned so much about medical professionals and pilots during this time and it is fascinating. As I read I felt like I was there watching the events unfold.

Loved, loved this novel! This is book 3 in the trilogy of the Wings of the Nightingale series, and I was not disappointed.

I have to admit that Kay was a character that I, at first, did not like, considering how she would string men along and then let them go without a thought. During the first chapter she admits to dating at least six men at a time! Whoa… instant dislike!

However my opinion quickly changed when I learned of how rejected she felt and unworthy due to circumstances in her past, that continued to haunt her. Her only outlet, I felt, was to be this carefree person who was full of life and fun and her treatment of her boyfriends was just a way of protecting herself. Discard before she is discarded. She was known as a tease and for good reason.

  • PERFECT WW2 ROMANCE

I have so enjoyed this entire series and loved reading about each of the “Nightingales” and their experiences as flight nurses during World War 2. Sundin’s character development is exceptional and lends an extra depth to her plots. I like the way she weaves all aspects of life during that era into her stories – from the hum drum daily routine, to dangerous missions both in the air and on the battlefield, to fun and sometimes humorous scenes, and of course some excellent romantic vignettes. Sarah also manages to include plenty of the gospel message into the plot in a natural way as her characters wrestle with their faith or in some cases embrace the gospel for the first time.

  • This was a very enjoyable, well-written story! I’ve been looking forward to it ever since the first book in the series, when we were introduced to Kay and Roger and I could sense they had interesting pasts and would have a wonderful story. This book really showed how important it is to trust the Bible and what God says about us rather than listening to the lies. It was wonderful to watch Kay’s transformation and Roger’s part in it, but I also felt for her as she was rejected and tempted to do things her own way.

Simply stated, I enjoyed everything about In Perfect Time – and the whole Wings of the Nightingale series, for that matter. World War II fiction is a genre I’ve only started reading recently, and Sarah Sundin deserves a lot of the credit. . . In Perfect Time brings the storylines of Mellie & Tom, Georgie & John, Kay & Roger to a beautiful conclusion – and while many authors tend to rush their endings, Sarah gives one of the most satisfying conclusions I’ve ever read. Highly recommended.

  • BEST IN THE WINGS OF THE NIGHTINGALE SERIES

If you want to read great fiction set during WWII, then you must pick up In Perfect Time by Sarah Sundin. I believe it is the best in The Wings of the Nightingale series.

This book is a story of hope, faith, love, trust and forgiveness. Ms. Sundin allowed the characters to get themselves into situations that made me want to shake them, hug them, kick them in their britches and hug them some more. All the characters of this series became real to me. I could hardly wait for In Perfect Time to come out and now I am sad that it’s over. I truly loved this series. I wish Ms. Sundin would write one more in the series about a year or two after the war so we could see how their lives progressed. I must admit, I did love the way she tied up all the story threads at the end of this book.

I enjoyed this book, having read the others it was nice to see “old friends.” I enjoy Sarah’s writing style and her stories pull at your heart-strings. This book was no exception. Kay was a little bit flighty and wild, but she had a good heart and her story is enough to make anyone cry. I loved Kay, she was a fiesty red-head. And Coop, well you gotta love the guy, or at least I have enjoyed his story. I am not sure if this is the final book in the series, but I have enjoyed the series very much. Another great story from Sarah Sundin that you will not want to miss. 4 stars from this reviewer.

What a well researched novel. It is based on real people and events of WW II and is a good reminder of the men and women who fought in that war. It is also a good study on how deep childhood hurts go into our character and that it is only through the Lord that they can be healed. Though this novel is part of a series, it can certainly be read on its own.

  • THE BEST NOVEL IN SUNDIN’S NIGHTINGALE SERIES!

“In Perfect Time” by Sarah Sundin is the third installment in her Wings of the Nightingale series, and I believe it to be her best novel so far! If you’ve read the first two books, you’ve been introduced to Lt. Kay Jobson, flight nurse, fiery redhead and incorrigible flirt! She dates for fun – lots of men at once – no time or desire for anything serious. As her character is featured in this book, we learn why she lives this way. Getting to know her character has been heartbreaking and joyful at the same time.
You may also remember C-47 pilot Roger Cooper. He’s steered clear of Kay, the idea firmly planted in him that dating should be to determine suitability for marriage.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

This book was set in the time period of WWII with characters Lt. Kay and Lt. Roger. It was an interesting book and story line, but not one of my favorites. Lt. Kay had alot of personal issues with being raised with a “religious” father which resulted in her having misunderstandings about God. She tries to keep control in her life by having meaningless relationships with men (which I think was very taboo back then!) until something drastic happens to turn her life around. The different chapters go back and forth between what Kay and Roger are doing during the war and things that happen to them and their colleges.
Good, clean, christian story! If you like stories during the WWII time period, you will like this one!

  • BOOK REVIEW: IN PERFECT TIME

The final chapter in the Wings of The Nightingale series includes some great action — white knuckle flying, a plane crash and escape from Nazi patrols. Sundin has used real life events as her inspiration and the scenes in In Perfect Time reflect her painstaking research. Her characters express real life emotions, doubts and fears. But it is the faith message of God’s grace and mercy in stark contrast to what the world thinks and says that takes center stage. The main characters, Kay and Roger, have been told lies, directly and indirectly, about who they are in God’s eyes. Exposing the lies frees them to live the life God has planned. It also is a good reminder of the impact words and actions can have on people, especially children. Well-meaning motivation can hurt as much as abusive words if based on human knowledge rather than God’s wisdom.

If you are looking for a WWII romance that embodies the era of the Greatest Generation — courage, faith, patriotism and strength of character — then make sure to get In Perfect Time. Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. But I suggest you start with book 1 — a great series for historical romance fans.

  • REVIEW – IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

The author, Sarah Sundin, obviously loves the genre and did a lot of research, as she crafted detailed descriptions of the era throughout the novel; making the reader feel like they are actually in 1940s right there with the characters; dropping supplies to soldiers and helping the wounded. The romance never felt forced upon the characters, Kay and Roger, making me to believe that they actually loved each other.

Kay is a flirtatious flight nurse during WW2. Roger is a “good boy” pilot. They’re both decent people, working through the difficult era the best they can. Kay believes that she’s too far gone for God to save, and Roger thinks he can’t ask her to give up the house with the picket fence she dreams of to follow a nomadic drummer’s lifestyle. They alternate between friends, enemies, and aloofness until they manage to work things out, but not before dangerous escapades after landing behind enemy lines.

While this is a book in a series, I was thrilled to find out that it stood alone quite well and I wasn’t left feeling lost or like I immediately had to go and purchase the other books just to find out what was happening in the ones that I had. I knew that this story would be like the others — very solid on real, historical facts with a focus on some of the lesser-known events and roles. I knew I’d be pulled into the storyline, really feeling like I was there. And seeing as it is Christian fiction, I figured that I could rejoice when that obnoxious flirt, Kay Jobson finally found God.

I didn’t expect to find myself identifying with Kay. I especially liked the emphasis on “earning” favor from God. That came up over and over. God doesn’t give us blessings because we are good. He gives them because He is good.

Though this is book #3 (and I haven’t read the first two) I had no problem tracking with the story line, though I could tell that there were background stories for other characters. • BEST IN THE SERIES!

Both Kay and Roger appear in the previous 2 books in the series (in minor roles), so I was very excited to read about ‘their story’ in this 3rd book. Sundin does a remarkable job of weaving historical truths about life during WWII and the fictional lives of the characters that she writes about. I was intrigued by Kay in the other 2 books. She has lots of pain in her past as does Roger, and that pain (and the forgiveness from the Lord) draws the two of them together…and at the same time causes them to keep each other at arms length. It was very easy for me to relate to the internal battle that goes on in a sinful person’s heart when truly accepting God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. Sundin’s writing captures this struggle in both Kay and Roger perfectly.

This was my first time to read a book by this author, and I must say, I will be reading her books in the future! Her writing is simple, yet she wields a wonderful plot that keeps you guessing as to what will happen next.

  • PERFECT CONCLUSION TO A GREAT SERIES

Every summer, I eagerly anticipate the day when Sarah Sundin’s latest novel will arrive in my mailbox. As I open the book, I’m transported back to World War II, and I find myself captivated from the beginning of the novel to the end. That’s exactly what happened when I picked up In Perfect Time. I knew from past experience with author Sarah Sundin’s novels that I would most likely love this one, too … and I did!

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN & KINDLE HDX GIVEAWAY

While the romance between the main characters was completely predictable, the author always has a way of spinning the plot to make you question it. So did I know how it would end…yes, but did I know all the twists and turns the story would take to end up there? No. Thats is what I love about Sarah Sundin’s novels along with the way she brings you back in time. I felt like I was a nightingale fighting to save the men at war or flighting that plane along with Coop. She describes it so well that it takes you there. That is a sign of a great author!

  • IN PERFECT TIME

The author’s love for anything “WW II” shines through in her writing of this series. Her books are movies on paper. They are well thought out and very vivid!

  • A GOOD ADDITION TO THIS SERIES

As with the other two books in this series, I enjoyed them. The author does a good time of developing the characters and getting the setting just right for the story. Even though this is the third in the series you can read it as a stand alone but I can almost guarantee you will want to go back and read the other two. I liked how Sarah touched on more than one area affected by the war not just the battlefront. Another thing that I like is that there was a little drama with some romance. A good ending to a great series of books.

  • IN PERFECT TIME BY SARAH SUNDIN

The novel is a good stand alone read. The characters from the other books are reunited which adds to the plot of the book but the books can still be stand alones. All the books are good, clean romances with a historic backing. You may want to read the books in series or alone, either way you will enjoy them and want more.
