Love Without End || A King’s Meadow Romance (Thomas Nelson, November 2014)

Chet and Kimberly have both failed when it comes to love. Will they risk their hearts to love again?

Chet Leonard’s life was forever changed when his 17-year-old son died and then, soon after, his wife walked out on their family. Over two years later, all he wants to do is hold onto his horse ranch and raise his remaining sons to be honorable men.

Kimberly Welch, widowed mother of Tara, a rebellious 15-year-old, has reached the end of her finances and nearly the end of her rope. She and Tara come to King’s Meadow to try to piece their lives back together again. Kimberly has no intention of becoming involved with the residents of this remote mountain community and certainly not with any man.

When octogenarian Anna McKenna returns to King’s Meadow and to the Leonard ranch, she becomes an agent of change and healing for the two hurting families. With her help, Kimberly and Chet may discover that true love has no end.

  • LOVE WITHOUT END (A KING’S MEADOW ROMANCE) BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

I really enjoyed “Love Without End” by Robin Lee Hatcher. This was my first book by this author and first in this Kings Meadow Romance “series”.
This story was about hope, love, forgiveness and finding peace in God’s will. Wonderful, christian, fiction romance!

  • THIS BOOK RESONATED WITH ME

Loyalty and betrayal are just two of the lines that are crossed in Love Without End. Kimberly seemed like someone I would work with; Hatcher makes her books seem so real. If you’re in the market for a series that will capture your heart, check out this book.

  • LOVE WITHOUT END BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER-BOOK REVIEW

I really enjoy Robin Lee Hatcher’s style of writing. She has the ability to pull the reader into the heart of the story with her interesting characters and intriguing storyline.

“Love Without End” is the first book in Hatcher’s new series set in Kings Meadow, Idaho and the main story centers on Chet Leonard and Kimberly Welch and how a rebellious teenage girl and her horse bring the two adults together to find a second chance at love. But there is a secondary story intertwined throughout this novel involving the feisty and loveable Anna McKenna, or as she is known to the Leonard family as “Nana Anna.” Anna’s story of how she came to Kings Meadow as a young girl and her life and adventures growing up on the ranch is just as wonderfully warm as it is inspiring.

Tara’s training, and the attraction between Chet and Kimberly keeps eager to read and see what will happen next. But then Kimberly has no interest in staying with her friend, she wants to move back to the city and make a life for her own. What will happen to the relationships forming between these three?

  • LOVE WITHOUT END

This book was an interesting read and was a great reminder that God allows us to have second chances even when we stumble and fall. This was not a book that I could largely relate to given it was about a middle age couple struggling with teenage children, but that doesn’t mean it was not a good book.
I loved how the author tackled some difficult subjects with such grace and style, that is part of what makes her such a great writer.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion4

am a big Robin Lee Hatcher fan. I was so glad to be back in Kings Meadow and to see Chet get a second chance. The story captured me right from the start and I had a hard time setting this book aside.

The book tells the story from 3 different character’s perspectives. Chet shares his side, Kimberly shares hers, and then you get more of a back story from Anna. I liked Anna, but then again, who couldn’t. She was a courageous girl led into the safety of a wonderful family.

I know you know that I love to read. I also love to read stories about hurt and healing. You see, I’m a nurse. But more than just a nurse, I’m a mental health nurse. I love to see people overcome their problems and move on in spite of them. This is one of those stories. In this book you will find lovely characters who wrap your heart up in their stories. I especially loved the age and wisdom of Anna McKenna. I hope to someday be able to help people and share the True Love the way she does. Oh I know some will say it’s fiction. It’s not real, but reality is only what you make of it and I like to believe that there are Anna McKenna’s around every corner just waiting for a chance to step into people’s lives.

  • REVIEW: LOVE WITHOUT END BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

The pace of this book is as leisurely as the stroll depicted on the cover. It really gave me time to get a feel for each of the characters as well as the setting. I totally appreciated that the romance between Chet and Kimberly was not of the whirlwind variety. The progress of their friendship and relationship was also slow-moving, interspersed with flashbacks from pivotal moments in Anna’s life. Both Kimberly and Chet have issues to work through along the way, and with Anna providing profound insights and some teenage kids to liven things up, this is an enjoyable book to read.

This book is such a beautiful story, and I loved the flashbacks of Anna McKenna’s early life. She really plays a part in pushing these two together, and I really loved the relationship she had with Chet, Kimberly, and the kids. • SWEET, FAITH-FILLED LOVE STORY

Love Without End is a sweet story of two hurting hearts finding the courage to love again after past failures. In her usual style, Robin Lee Hatcher, has crafted a story filled with characters you come to know and care about from beginning to end.

This book is well worth the short time it takes to read. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sweet, faith-filled love story. Like many good books, it tells the whole story but leaves you not quite ready for the last page.

Are you in the mood for a beautiful love story?

If so, Robin Lee Hatcher’s latest novel, Love Without End, does not disappoint!

Love Without End tells the story of Kimberly Welch and Chet Leonard – two single parents with hurting hearts.

For Kimberly and Chet, the wounds of their past are still fresh. Neither Chet nor Kimberly are looking for love, but sometimes, you are given a second chance for happiness and a chance to heal your broken hearts, in spite of your best intentions.

Love Without End is beautifully written – beautifully woven – beautifully told. It tugs at your heartstrings in all of the right places and leaves footprints when you turn the last page. This contemporary western romance leaves you longing for more.

Don’t miss out on this wonderful book!

  • I always enjoy Hatcher’s book and this one was no exception. I have not read any other books in this series and found that this definitely worked as a standalone book.

I particularly enjoyed how the main male character’s story was highlighted perhaps even more than the female’s – which is uncommon in fiction.

I liked that the storyline and characters were all realistic and believable. And I enjoyed getting glimpses into Nana Anna’s story as well. It was neat seeing both the young and the old Anna. Sometimes, when we’re relating to the elderly, we forget that they were (obviously) young once too, and that we can learn so much from them and their stories.

  • LOVE WITHOUT END IS THE BEGINNING OF LOVE

    Deb’s Dozen: 12-Word Summaries – A cowboy, a city girl, a set of teenagers, a horse – romance?

King’s Meadow, Idaho, and the working ranch of Chet Leonard form the setting for Love Without End, Robin Lee Hatcher’s newest book.

The characters are fascinating: the widow, Kimberly Welch, and her daughter, Tara; Chet Leonard and his sons, Sam and Pete; and the person who weaves the story together, Nana Anna McKenna, who knows their history better than any of them.

And so the story begins. I read Love Without End in almost one sitting and fell in love with all of the characters. This is the first book in the King’s Meadow Romance Series and I must admit I want Robin to hurry and finish the next. Another five star book for Robing Lee Hatcher!

I have been a fan of Robin Hatcher for a while now. Her books are sweet romances that feature real life situations and characters that feel like friends. This whole town is inviting and warm to the people who visit and they often end up staying. Needless to say, this book was no different than Robin’s others.

This novel involves Chet and his boys, Kimberly and her daughter along with Anna McKenna, who is like a grandmother to Chet. I personally fell in love with Anna and her character. She is one of those women who is stronger than they appear from the outside and though she is older, I felt like she spoke wisdom that is relevant to the younger generation. We see her back story and what happened to her in the past which made her who she is today. Of course, she is not real but yes, I am

  • LOVED IT

I really enjoyed the King’s Meadow setting in Robin’s book A Promise Kept. Love Without End takes us back to this wonderful little community and into the lives of Kimberly and Chet. Both single parents to teenagers they are both getting through life unsure of what the future may bring. Kimberly is used to the city and is afraid of horses yet her daughter can’t seem to be around them enough. Chet offers to help Tara learn more about horses and Kimberly ends up being around them and a cowboy she wants nothing to do with.

This story is predictable but I really liked reading it because it’s a real story. Their families aren’t perfect and at the end not all is solved. There is a side story about Anna who returns to the ranch and the readers get a glimpse into her past.

Another greatly written book by Robin Lee Hatcher with a really pretty cover I might add:-) Though Love Without End was pretty much focused solely on the romance, Hatcher has a beautiful way of writing that brought me into the story despite my hunger for action. • REVIEW: LOVE WITHOUT END

Robin skillfully pens a narrative with deep emotion and a maturity that has to have come out of life experiences. She writes of the brokenness of life, of broken people, of loss, and how we handle the unexpected. And that “unexpected” even becomes a second chance at love, born out of a seeking and surrender to God’s will, for two characters could hardly be more wrong for each other on the surface. Love Without End is a story that touched me. A 5-star rating for that touch.

  • LOVE WITHOUT END BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

I liked the setting, plot, characters, and faith element in the book. I’m never a fan of books where one or both of the characters is divorced and remarries someone else, but I still enjoyed the book. Also, this book seemed to focus more on the male in the story, and that doesn’t happen a lot in the predominantly female Christian fiction world. The main male character has already suffered the loss of a son in a car accident and the ending of his marriage as his wife abruptly left him, but he deals with more hurdles and discouragement in this book. I liked the way his relationship was portrayed with his teenage sons, and how he reacted with them.

I loved the book and had trouble putting it down once I started. I loved the characters and writing in this book. This is the first time that I have read this author but I love the series and can’t wait to read the next one!!! I was routing for ranch and all of the family but mostly Chet finding love with Kimberly. I loved Nana Anna who wasn’t even part of the family but was adopted into the family and knew all of the history of the ranch and members of the family. There are lots of ups and downs in the story with the baggage that each person brought into the relationship but it is great to see all of the changes in the people and situations. I hope that you pick up this book and see what happens!! I promise you won’t be disappointed from beginning to end.

Love Without End was another great one from her. I loved the story of two broken people who needed a second chance at love. Having been married once before and having my heart broken I could relate to the characters so well. The story is masterfully told. In addition the setting, King’s Meadow, is amazing. I love the beauty and remoteness of it. It’s a place I would love to live. I am excited to get my hands on more of the books that take place in King’s Meadow. This is a book not to be missed.

  • SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE

As a reviewer for the past five or six years and as an avid reader for more years than I can count, I have obviously read many romance novels. Most of the time the primary characters are fairly young, even those who have lost a husband or wife. That is not a bad thing, but in “Love Without End” I enjoyed the story that featured a couple who were just a bit more mature with children in their teen years. As I get older myself, I find I enjoy reading about more mature characters once in awhile.

  • A WONDERFUL CONTINUATION!

I was very excited when I found out that Robin Lee Hatcher was going back to King’s Meadow in her latest story, Love Without End. It was a beautiful setting in A Promise Kept.

Just like in A Promise Kept, Love Without End was a story within a story. Present and past and a connection that links the the two together. In this book, Anna is the link as you get to know her in the present, then visit her youth during WW2. Through these two era’s you are able to see the things that have remained the same and the parts that have changed. I love these type of stories. They each offer so much to the book as a whole.

The cast of character’s range in age from teens to eighty which enables Robin to show the trials and troubles of a large range of people. From her realization that she had begun to live a relatively shallow life that was dominated by luxury before her husband passed, to the way she started to understand as time passed, that she needed to give all of her hurts and questions over to God and trust in Him to provide the answers.

  • We get to see some of her past as parts of the book go back and show us when Anna first came to the Leonard ranch when she was fourteen and different moments in her life there. I loved the strong faith Chet showed and the struggle he had to trust God when he was afraid of being hurt again. He’s such a wonderful character, godly, gentlemanly, and a cowboy! The romance was sweet and I’m so excited to see that another book will be coming out in this series!

  • ANOTHER AWESOME BOOK FROM ROBIN LEE HATCHER! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Robin Lee Hatcher is one of those authors that when you hear her name or see it on a book, you know it is going to be a good one!

I absolutely LOVED one of Hatcher’s other books, A Promise Kept, where they briefly mentioned Chet Leonard and his life woes. It was just enough of a mention to really pique my interest and make me really excited for this book!

Although these characters are older in age, love does not have to be something they can’t experience anymore! There are definitely second chances in love and that is the theme of this book!

Overall, I highly recommend this book and all books by Robin Lee Hatcher! She definitely knows how to tell a story so that you won’t want to put it down!

I absolutely loved the relationships built in this story. Not only the romance between Chet and Kimberly… but the relationship across generations (Anna, Chet & Kimberly, and their children) and between families (Anna with Kimberly & Tara, Chet with Tara, and the Leonard boys with Tara). Just an amazing story about the bonds of family, friendships and love.

  • BOOK REVIEW: LOVE WITHOUT END BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

Not long after beginning Love Without End it was obvious why readers love Hatcher’s books—she writes with heart and passion for her stories. The details in the second novel of her Kings Meadow series infuse this book with authenticity; readers who say they want to move to Hatcher’s fictional town are justified in believing Kings Meadow could truly exist.

  • LOVE WITHOUT END BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

I really enjoyed this book once I started it. At first, I found myself comparing this book with “The Horse Whisperer” movie. So much in the beginning of this book reminded of the movie that I was a little distracted by it.

Once the story took off, I enjoyed getting to know the characters. I always enjoy Robin’s style of writing and for her long time fans, this book will not disappoint. I did not realize this was the follow up to A Promise Kept, which I have not read.

I like that Robin keeps the romance clean, yet passionate and real between the main characters. They keep their boundaries clear, even though they are very much attracted to one another. For anyone who enjoys Christian romance, I highly recommend this one.

  • LOVE WITHOUT END

A western with a heart of romance and a love for ranch life is what I think of when I hear the title.

I have loved westerns for a long time mostly because of the peace and quiet a small town life can bring. I know it would not be an easy life at all and there would be some things unavailable compared to suburb life, but I could get used to it. Robin Lee Hatcher has written a story that gives hope, along with showing how prayer is such an intricate part of life and how people have to choose sometimes between better and best like Kimberly had to do. It was cute too how Chet and Kimberly had similar responses to contemplating marriage again. The way they thought or their bodies reacted was at times what made me chuckle out loud. I hope you read this book as next year book two, Whenever You Come Around, will be released. I can’t wait!

  • LOVE WITHOUT END

Down on her luck without a job, very little money and no home, Kimberly and her sullen teenage daughter have gone from riches to living at a friends house.

Chet is struggling to keep his ranch in the red. It’s just him and his two sons. His wife dumped him, the boys and the ranch after a third son was killed in an accident.

Thank you, Ms Hatcher. I really didn’t want to leave Kings Meadow.

The novel’s surprise is Anna McKenna’s story, which is told in bits and pieces between chapters. Anna is basically a grandmother to Chet’s boys, and the novel is made so much richer by including her backstory.

  • I COULD RELATE TO THIS NOVEL SO WELL DUE TO MY LOVE OF HORSE AND ROMANCE!!!

This is such a remarkable story because it unites more than two hearts, but two families and two generations. Robin utilizes the combination of past and present lives of the Leonard family to convey the depth of the love of ranching but also for the love of family. You get a sense of betrayal for both Kimberly and Chet when they look at their past marriages and realize where the flaws resulted that cause both to fall apart so early on. The novel also conveys that often times God uses the difficulties and trials in our own lives to bring us to new beginnings and new hope. Being a horse lover as a child, stories like this one fed my book lover’s heart and gained a well deserved 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion.

You gotta love a cowboy story right? I have to admit every time I look at the book, I add amen to the title. I loved Nanna Anna (I am partial to grandmothers) she made the story go above and beyond for me.
I did relate to this story very deeply because I understand the pain of loosing a teenage son, so the story hit a bit close to home.

  • BOOK REVIEW: LOVE WITHOUT END

A chilly day, some cozy blankets and a good book…what more could a girl ask for? Did I mention that even the cats were snuggled up with me? Perhaps a good man to snuggle against, but I can’t be greedy. As a single mom who struggles to provide for her boys, I clicked with Kimberly immediately. It was her story that drew me in and kept me reading. I fell in love with Anna and wish that I had someone like her in my world. As for Chet and his boys? Well, they’re an amazing little family all on their own and I can only imagine that wonderful things that the future would hold in store for all of them. Who knows, maybe we’ll see mention of them in another book. All in all, a good book for a chilly day or any day that you’re in the mood for some modern romance.

  • A ROMANCE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This book is one of a kind!! It intertwines two wonderful romances, one in the past and one in the future. Robin weaves them together in such a way to create a beautiful story. The two main characters, Chet and Kimberley have NO intention of falling in love and in fact, fight this feeling every step of the way. The everyday challenges and joys experience by all of us are addressed in such a matter that you become part of the drama as it plays out.

  • Oh my goodness! What a sweet book!! Love Without End was about two different story-lines that merge together in the end: Anna’s or “Nana Anna’s” from the mid-1940’s on, and Chet and Kimberly’s in present day. It was a sweet, slower-paced story about friendship, loss, and choosing to embrace life and all that it might offer, maybe even a second chance at love.

The story is one of love and understanding. When Anna returns to the ranch after a few decades her story is woven into the story too.

This is a story of hope and courage and a reminder that new beginnings are possible. When Anna’s story is told in flashbacks, it was amazing how they choices we make affect others. By taking the time to help others – more than one life can be saved.

  • ALL OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!

I loved everything about this book from the setting and characters to the Josh Turner concert that they went to. I loved how this was a book that wasn’t about twenty-somethings, but about people who were more mature and had lived a little more.

I loved the interaction and sense of community between the characters how they made Kimberly feel at home and the the growth of friendship between her and Chet.

I loved Anna’s story and how she came to King’s Meadow and began a blossoming legacy. I loved how her story was interwoven though the plot.

“Love Without End“ by Robin Lee Hatcher is a beautifully written love story. It’s so much more than a romance between a man and woman. It’s the love story of a girl and her horse, a man and his sons, a woman and her daughter and a woman and the family who took her in when she needed someone.

  • OPENING UP HOMES AND HEARTS.

I devoured Love Without End, reading it in just twenty four hours. It is a wonderful story focussing on family life, with people opening their hearts and homes to others. Nana Anna is beautifully drawn, both as the younger teenager and as the Nana everyone would wish to have. All the characters were realistic and likeable, and from the descriptions, it was easy to visualise the ranch and life around horses. But one does not have to be a horse fan to enjoy the novel – if you like families, romance and God, then this is the novel for you.

  • BOOK REVIEW: “LOVE WITHOUT END” BY ROBIN LEE HATCHER

A girl, a guy and a horse what more can you ask for in a story? Let’s face it the world we live in isn’t an easy place and life is not a fairy tale so it is only natural that there are a lot of wounded individuals out there and second chances, though dreamed of, simply do not come around. Oh but when they do it is a lot of fun. Welcome to Kings Meadow where there is a chance at the second chance. Ms. Hatcher has given us characters in Kimberly and Chet that are marvelous, meticulously crafted, and each one literally breathes on the pages. We can identify with them and root for them to succeed. I am so looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.
