Brody “Wick” Wickham is a former Green Beret turned security agent-with a 100 percent mission success rate. No way is his new assignment changing that. Even if it’s protecting a diva American rock star while she’s on tour in Europe. Except Veronica “Vonya” Wagner isn’t just a beautiful celebrity used to having her way-she’s the daughter of a U.S. Senator. And she’s hiding a dangerous secret. When Wick discovers what’s at stake, how far over the line will he go to keep them both alive?

{More about Undercover Pursuit}

The only way to get security agent Luke Dekker to a wedding? An undercover mission as groomsman. He’ll bust the groom, a drug cartel heir, before anyone can say “I do.” Then Luke can escape all this love and romance nonsense-and the too pretty bridesmaid/agent assigned as his “fiancée” for the weekend. Until Luke discovers that sweet, vulnerable Scarlett Hanson isn’t his contact. Isn’t an agent.
Isn’t trained for the high-stakes mission now trapping them both. And worse, Luke’s falling for her-which is not part of the assignment.

Sharon at Read It’s Fundamental This was a great series. I think it’s also possible to read them as individual books. I am pleased to give them a five star rating.

Wendi at Wendi’s Book Corner ~ Rainy Day Reads in Seattle http://wendisbookcorner.blogspot.com

Jami’s Reviews I thoroughly enjoyed all three of these books, and I highly recommend them for individuals who like suspense with a little clean romance mixed in.

Beckie at By The Book The three books in Warren’s Missions of Mercy series are light, fun, romantic suspense.  Each novel follows a member of Stryker International, a security firm manned with ex-Navy seals and other highly trained former members of the military. Set in exotic locales, the stories provide non-stop action and high-tension romance. Perfect as summer reads, the books feature manly heroes and beautiful, smart and capable heroines.  My favorite of the three was Undercover Pursuit.  The third in the series, the book features a destination wedding like none you have attended — filled with drug lords, bridezillas and a fearless maid of honor! I recommend all these books for those who love suspense and romance in their reading choices —  fun, fast-paced and full of that loving feeling!

Sharon’s Garden of Book Reviews In a day and age when violence, graphic sex and just plain evil dominates so many novels, it is refreshing to find a series that features excitment and intrigue without offending your sensibilities. Susan May Warren’s Missions of Mercy Series is a welcome respite – she combines action, great characters, thrilling story lines and just the right touch of romance to create a world that readers will enjoy visiting. I highly recommend Susan’s books.

Lisa at Heritage Homestead & Homeschool Academy These Love Inspired Suspense/Inspirational Romances were fast paced, interesting, and full of old fashioned heroism and love, in an action packed setting. I really enjoyed it. Realistic without being explicit.

Book Reviews by Molly Once again, Susan May Warren has used her skills to create 5 star books, complex yet endearing characters, faith filled plot lines and capture the hearts of her faithful fans. I highly suggest that you grab a copy of each of these amazing books and  see for yourself why I LOVE Susan’s work!

April at ElCloud Homeschool: Busy Minds, Busy Hands, Busy Feet A nice surprise!  I was drawn into each story from page one, and I didn’t want to put the book down until I’d read the last page. Unfortunately, life as a Mom of 8 doesn’t let me do that without staying up very, very late … but I couldn’t resist doing so with this series.  A little extra coffee the next day was worth it, so I could read without interruptions and without neglecting my family.

Michele at My Blessings From Above I truly enjoyed them! The stories  are fast-paced and I was quickly drawn in. Yes there is romance (good clean romance)  and adventure and danger and humor. In each story the characters learn some Biblical lessons too.  That part surprised me! I would recommend these for some fun and light reading!

Leticia at My Daily Trek Humor, suspense and action! These are great, clean and fun books to read.

Lena at A Christian Writer’s World I’ve read all three of these books, and I loved, loved, loved them. Susan May Warren has been one of my favorite authors since her first book release. And the international suspense novels are some of her best suspense books. I believe that this series tops them all. I couldn’t put them down. And the characters came from some of her previous novels set in Russia, where she lived for a number of years. The characters leap off the pages, and the settings take the reader into the scene until you feel as if you are actually participating in the story.

Tammy at Tammy’s Book Parlor All three of these books are stand-alone reads. Each one is packed with action, adventure and good, clean romance. Did I mention action packed?!  Yes. Well, these fast, fun reads have so much action, twists and turns that if one is not careful the chair will tilt sideways as one reads. Each read was enjoyable but book two was so fresh and unusual that if I had a favorite it would be Mission Out of Control. These reads are suspenseful without being gory, faith filled without being preachy and love filled without being ooey-gooey. Susan May Warren has done it again with a 5 star rating for all her Love Inspired reads!

Laura at Lighthouse Academy POINT OF NO RETURN: I was looking forward to reading this book since I heard that it was coming out since I liked Ms. Warren’s previous books set in the former Soviet Union. Once I started the book, I had to keep reading. Mae is the queen of sarcasm and her witty comebacks were funny. Plus the action and suspense were non-stop. Mission: Out of Control: Ronie, tugged at my heart strings and made me sit up and take notice. Readers will be caught up in the deep point of view story, swept into the action, and sitting at the edge of their seats as they thumb through the pages of this book. Don’t pick this book up to read it unless you have the time to finish it, because the tension and suspense doesn’t let up. Discussion questions are included at the end of the book. Undercover Pursuit: I thinkUNDERCOVER PURSUIT is the best book of the trio, it has a hero and a heroine that I could cheer for from page one.  Scarlett is hurting, betrayed by her sister and her ex-boyfriend. Luke is struggling to remake his life after he realized he didn’t like the man that he was turning out to be. This is a combination with sparks from page one, and it didn’t let up. I loved this book from start to finish.

Janet at Along the Way All three books in the Missions of Mercy series were so much fun to read.  Filled with fascinating characters that carried through from one book to the next made the adventures even more interesting. The characters in these books find love in the most unexpected places, grace in the darkest hours, and their lives are filled with adventure and danger. The books may be small but they are packed full of great stories and unforgettable characters. I highly recommend this entire series by Susan May Warren.

Abigail at A Girl of Many Colors Point of No Return: I like that every page of this book is packed with action. Both characters have to live with past choices and learn to move past them. The themes of sacrifice were also beautiful elements. Also, some of the surprises were truly shocking, so I didn’t feel like this was a same old, same old kind of romance. Mission: Out of Control: 5 Stars! I loved this book!
Undercover Pursuit: I love the plot. The action aspect was really well done- especially, in the final chapters. From the very beginning, I wanted to know what would happen next.

5/23

Lisa at Musings I love the way Susie crafts high energy plots, characters that grip your hearts and settings that make you feel as if you were there. Her plots kept me turning pages. Each time I thought about putting down the book, something new happened that kept me sucked in to the very end. Her flawed characters help us to realize Christians do not have to be perfect to find redemption. The emotional journeys with the characters had me laughing and tearing up. Her word choices and descriptive painting created a visual world for me to picture as I read. A visual vacation. If you like page-turning plots that will cause you to hold your breath, real characters who stumble and fall, but learn God will be their rescuer in those dark place, then Point of No Return, Mission: Out of Control and Undercover Pursuit are books you will want to read!

Deborah at Books, Movies and Chinese Food Point of No Return: Fast paced and enjoyable! Mission: Out of Control: I was actually quite intrigued with Ronie’s alter ego Vonya. She sounds like a mix of Lady Gaga and an indie band. She really was into her music and I enjoyed seeing her slip into the Vonya character and be someone that no one else was expecting. Actually Ronie seemed to have three personalities. There’s Vonya, then Veronica as the rich quiet girl she portrays to her family, and then Ronie, her true self. It’s a lot of effort to keep up these three personalities but she seems to slip easily into all of them. Undercover Pursuit: This one was my favorite.

Mel at Real Heart Prints Action and adventure! I would definitely recommend these books for a relaxing weekend or maybe even a beach day.

Jeremy & Sara’s Story I adore Susan May Warren! She’s one of the best romantic suspense authors that I’ve read. Susan has an excellent way of transporting the reader into the settings and filling them with the conflict, emotion and heart of the characters; plus, always including the love of God into the story.Point of No Return – The perfect combination of high action suspense, faith and romance.  Plus, how can you not love a strong willed female lead like Mae? I loved it! 5 out of 5 stars! Mission Out of Control – The suspense in this book was enjoyable and it was fun to try to figure out who was behind everything. 4 out of 5 stars!Undercover Pursuit – Very entertaining. 5 out of 5 stars! Susan May Warren has yet to disappoint me.

Charity at Giveaway Lady I really loved this series!! Susan May Warren is a wonderful author and I have enjoyed many of her previous books. This is a beautiful series and the settings and plots were very good. The characters were very well written and I loved them! My favorite book out of them all was Undercover Pursuit! Loved this plot:)

Heather at Mommy Of 1 and Counting Every page is packed with action. It keeps you on your toes and has some GREAT Romance scenes in it as well.

Amy at The 160 Acrewoods Contemporary romance with a deeply imbedded mystery in it! They remind me a bit of her series from 2008 called Mission: Russia – not the same, just slightly similar in style. The characters where endearing, and with each book I found someone I could relate too – whether it was their attitude, their hurts, or how they came to rely on God. Not to mention, these books are full of some crazy adventure! I loved living vicariously through them!  All three books tied together with the characters and stories. I couldn’t put them down!!

5/25

Lydia at The Overweight Bookshelf This series kicks off with the return of some of Susan’s most iconic suspense characters from her Mission: Russia series, where we first meet Mae. As with all three of the books, I felt like I didn’t have time to fully immerse myself in Susan’s signature fast paced storylines due to the brevity of the stories (traditional of Love Inspired Books), but they were not lacking in action or romance. In my opinion, the Missions of Mercy books serve as appetizers to the main course of Susan’s writing.

Melissa at Bibliophile’s Retreat In this Suspense-Romance hybrid series that will appeal to readers of both genres, Warren has presented a new cast of characters that readers will love early on. I’m only disappointed that Steeple Hill has apparently limited this series to only three books. Just from reading these books I can see the possibility for so many more plots and the chance to get acquainted with some of the background characters who could play more central roles if the series were expanded. Be sure and collect your own copies of all three novels before they’re gone. While any of these books could function as a standalone, once you’ve picked up one you’ll want to read the rest too. I quickly made it through the first two books shortly after they arrived and was chomping at the bit for number three by the time I received my copy. Not only does Warren keep the plot moving at a brisk pace, the events of each plot move smoothly without interrupting the flow of the story even with multiple threads in such a short format and the characters and stories maintain their interconnectedness even if they only make a brief appearance.

Relz Reviewz Point of No Return: Susan creates good dialogue. There is plenty of action and I enjoyed the back story, especially Chet’s. A solid, entertaining read.Mission: Out of Control: Combines the usual elements in a romantic suspense: action, conflict, danger and romance. Add in a fabulous location, a female rock star and a hardened Green Beret and you have a powder keg of emotion and sparks.Undercover Pursuit: A fun, albeit unlikely story, of a case of mistaken identity, pseudo bridesmaids and an agent suddenly torn between his mission and keeping an innocent woman safe. Scarlett and Luke are great characters who end up in a boatload of trouble, where danger and heartbreak abound. With plenty of suspense, attraction and peril that doesn’t let up, Undercover Pursuit will keep you turning pages in this quick and satisfying read.

5/26

Pamela at Daysong Reflections The three books of this series pack a serious punch for their small size. The three heroes are all retired special ops military men who own and/or work for a private security company in Europe. In each installment, one of the men is involved in a dangerous mission with a young woman and in the midst of their precarious exploits, love begins to bloom. Although part of a series, each of these books can stand alone. Warren has done an excellent job providing well paced plots set against interesting backdrops with well rounded and realistic characters. Elements of faith are woven seamlessly and inconspicuously throughout the stories. Each novel has its share of nail biting moments and all end satisfactorily. Don’t let the small size of these books fool you. There is a wealth of action and romance crammed between those covers. As always, I look forward to whatever Susan May Warren has up her sleeve for her next book.

Jill at Artistic Blogger Dive in, suspense fans! Susan May Warren is in top form throughout this trio of nail-biting delights. She dishes up adventure ripe with romance between the dashing heroes you love to love and brave heroines that inspire. Not that the characters are flawless–far from it. But it’s the flaws and how they shine through in spite of their short-comings and hang-ups that have us rooting for them. Or perhaps, like with us, it’s the flaws that make their triumphs shine because God gets the glory!

5/27

Jendi’s Journal Good stories.

Suzanne at Clicking Her Heels This is the kind of story I’ve grown to expect from Susan May Warren. Mission: Out of Control was fast-paced and had enough suspense to keep my attention and enough romance to melt my heart.

5/28

Kelli at The Zen of Motherhood Susan May Warren’s Missions of Mercy (Love Inspired Suspense) series makes for delightful light reading. In each book, a security specialist from Stryker International takes on a mission.  Through mistake or mishap, the heroine becomes involved and plays an important role in the success of the venture.  Naturally, sparks fly.  Formulaic, sure, but Warren is an excellent writer, and she makes it work time and again.  Faith is a prominent theme in all of the Missions of Mercy books.  However, Warren is never preachy or dogmatic.

Carol at Books Before Food Intrique, suspense and romance throughout the series.

Renee at Doorkeeper Kudos to Susan May Warren for making faith an integral part of her characters’ lives. And the spiritual issues they wrestle with are not superficial. They matter in the real world. As I wrote earlier this week, when the man with the gun facing down a relentless physical enemy can also operate in the spiritual realm–now that’s a great story!

Amber at Snidbits They’re the perfect size to stuff in a purse or bag to read during any downtime. I enjoyed them. Good pacing and I wasn’t bored. She threw in a few surprises to mix things up. I really like the dialogue between Warren’s characters.

5/30

Jen at Happy Little Homemaker I like “cleaner” romances and loved that she was able to build chemistry and romance without them having to tear off their clothes. She also did a fabulous job building suspense and intrigue; I was swept up by these books and devoured them in short order.

Heidi at Reviews & Reflections The characters are very relatable and I found myself cheering for them and their romance.

Michelle at Healing Hearts Book Reviews I have enjoyed all of the LI Suspense novels that I’ve read by Susan May Warren (four total) and this was no exception. I feel like the couples at Stryker International are my friends, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know them through each of their stories.  I really enjoyed all three books. A fun escape for me. I wanted to keep reading, and that’s not usually the case with LI books.

5/31

Michelle at Life in Review Well written and action-packed. It will keep you on the edge of your seat holding your breath. The characters will have you rooting for them all the way.

Stephanie-jean at Life: SemiCrunchy I really enjoyed this series of books. I loved all the twist and turns and surprises along the way in all of the books. I do of course recommend that you read them in order, but they are great even if you do read them out of order! I had a really hard time putting down the books as I found myself enthralled with each of the stories. I felt connected to each of the characters and the struggles that they faced.

Nora at Finding Hope Through Fiction These stories captivated my mind and heart from the start. I was amazed at how much Susan packed into such a small books! Wow! What a great, powerful reads! I highly recommend them!

Amy at Girlfriends Get Real Perfect for sitting out in the sun. They are quick romantic suspense novels written by one of my favorite Christian Fiction authors. It is not easy to find romance that remains pure without being explicit and Warren throws a little suspense in to leave you intrigued. These books can stand alone, but I recommend you read all three. You will be drawn into the characters in all three books and the plots will keep you interested until the last page. Make sure you pack these books in your beach bag for a relaxing afternoon. You won’t want to put them down once you start.
