Only one pair of boots—and the cowboy wearing them—can get Annie out of the mess she’s in.
Annie Wilkerson is Moose Creek’s premiere horse trainer and equine columnist for Montana Living. Money is tight as she tries to put her kid-sister through college and provide for her young nephew. When Annie’s column is cancelled, she’s given first shot at a new lovelorn column—and she can’t afford to turn it down. Only problem is . . . Annie’s never been in love.
Always resourceful, she reluctantly strikes a deal with the town’s smooth-talking ladies’ man Dylan Taylor: She’ll work with his ailing horse, Braveheart, if he’ll help her answer the reader letters.
Working closely with Dylan is harder than Annie imagined, and she quickly realizes she may have misjudged him. But her unwavering conviction that cowboys are nothing but trouble has kept her heart safe for years. And she can’t risk getting hurt now.
The more Annie tries to control things, the more they fall apart. Her feelings are spinning out of control, and her sister’s antics are making life increasingly more difficult. Annie knows she needs to turn the reins over to God, but surrender has never come easily.
When Dylan reveals his feelings for her, Annie doesn’t know what to trust—her head or her heart. The trouble with this cowboy is that he might just be exactly what she needs.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
The book is fantastic, with wonderful descriptions of ranch life that made it feel like I was right in the book with each page turned. Hunter is a contemporary romance author, yet as I read her books, and The Trouble with Cowboys specifically, I did not feel that it was overly mushy or cheezy. I really liked the characters of Dylan and Annie. The book has great flow and I did not want to put it down, finishing it in one sitting.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS?–THEY LEAVE
The Trouble with Cowboys by Denise Hunter is the first book I have read in this series (and this author). I wondered if not reading the first two books would be a hindrance in enjoying the story. It wasn’t. I highly recommend this author, she writes in a way that sets vivid scenes, create believable characters, and draws the reader into the story. I look forward to reading more of her books.

THIS CHRISTIAN AUTHOR HAS A KNACK FOR THE LIGHT BUT NEVER FLUFFY SORT OF NOVEL!
‘The Trouble with Cowboys’ written by well known romanticist Denis Hunter and part of the ‘Big Sky Romance’ series will provide readers with just the sort of entertainment they might look for on a Autumnal afternoon! There is no doubt Denise Hunter gives her audience what she promised: an enjoyable alternative to the humdrum of everyday life.
I had the opportunity to read another of her novels (on a long layover in a faraway airport with little amenities!) called ‘The Convenient Groom’ and I will tell you she had me in stitches! Be sure to check her other titles!

A ROMANCE STORY THAT RESONATES
The Trouble with Cowboys is a romance story that resonated with me. Not only was it a lot of fun being plopped into Moose Creek with its country charm – and witnessing the charm of a certain cowboy as he played the the part of a gentleman, while still being a bit (?!) of a flirt – but it was also wonderful to encounter a depth to the story that hits strong at the end.

BOOK REVIEW – THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
I liked the faith in God that we see in both Dylan and Annie but how they struggle to still handle certain things without Him. I also liked the sweet romance we see between them throughout, even when she’s running away from him.

BOOK REVIEW: THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
I really enjoyed this book. It was quite predictable, but there were a couple twists in it. The main character starts writing a lovelorn column and at the beginning of each of the short chapters there was a little tidbit from her “column”. The characters were really relatable and lovable. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a sweet, romantic easy read with great characters and a dream setting.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS – A BIG SKY ROMANCE #3 BY DENISE HUNTER
The author stated she wrote the book thinking of her son as he was attending college and the trials and tribulations thereof. Even though all of the major characters attended church, read the bible and prayed to God, they failed to let go and let God. I found the book real to life, inspiring and romantic. Leaving me with feeling happy and content with the ending not just this book but the series.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS BY DENISE HUNTER
I patiently waited until I had read all the books in front of “The Trouble With Cowboys” that I had committed to review, difficult as that was but my patience was rewarded. I can truthfully say that the book did not disappoint. With familiar characters from the earlier Big Sky Romance novels and the small town setting of Moose Creek, Montana, I immediately felt right at home. I was quickly drawn into the story of Annie and Dylan and couldn’t wait to find out how their story would end yet at the same time hated to see the last page. The book has just the right blend of drama, action, humor, and romantic tension and some surprises along the way don’t hurt a thing. I loved the give and take between the characters and their honesty. I also enjoyed seeing how things were going with Shay and Travis and Abigail and Wade. Plus the cowboys!

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
Watching both Dylan and Annie let go of their fears was painful at times because we all can relate to the pain of a broken heart or the threat of a broken heart and what it’s like to move past that. As they both let their guard down it becomes obvious that what each thought they knew about the other was entirely untrue. Annie does her best to avoid falling for a cowboy and tries to ignore the chemistry between them. She even goes so far as to date another man who has probably never even owned a pair of cowboy boots!

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS BY DENISE HUNTER
This is a romance but takes a refreshing approach of a romance based not on lust but on friendship. This is a Christian romance so God has a presence in the relationship but it’s not a hitting over your head with the Bible presence but more subtle. I found the whole approach taken in the book as a nice change of pace from your run of the mill romance.
I recommend this book if you like Christian romance books but are looking for a slight different take.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
I really loved the town of Moose Creek and found “The Trouble With Cowboys” a delightful inspirational romantic read.Sometimes christian romance can come off a bit strong, but Denise Hunter really strikes a great balance with her writing. She provides a sweet romance that also weaves in a nice wholesome feeling to her stories, while also giving a few laughs.

“THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS” BY DENISE HUNTER
What I enjoy most about Hunter’s writing is the chemistry she is able to produce between her romantic leads. As I read (or rather devoured) this book, I ached for Annie and Dylan to get together, yet I also enjoyed their banter back and forth.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
Denise has a way with words she makes me wish that I was on a ranch some where relaxing. This is another one of her fun reads. I have every book that she has wrote to date and let me tell you she is a one of a kind writer.
How would you like to get away, wind in your hair, riding a horse while the perfect cowboy swept you off your feet? Well you can do just that in Denise’s newest book The Trouble with Cowboys. I fell in Love with Dylan and I hated to see this book end. I read a book a day, but after reading this one I just could not get my mind off of Dylan and Annie, to read another book for a few days! LET GO AND LET GOD, is what Denise is telling you in this book!
Very sad to see the Big Sky Romance series end. This is a wonderful 5 star read.

I loved the reference to “Smitten”, Sawyer’s Smitten Concert!! Another great book! Don’t miss the sweet conclusion to this great series. Also gift yourself with the other two books in this series. You won’t be disappointed.

BOOK REVIEW – “THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS”
This is a great story of forgiveness, trust, second chances and finding love. Annie has issues from her past that she must face and deal with as does her sister Sierra, especially when Luke arrives in town. Dylan has a reputation; however this is just an act and cover as he has loved once and had his heart broken. Miss Lucy plays an important role in this book again as she has in the other two books as well as other past characters playing minor roles. This is a book that was hard to put down when I started reading as I fell in love with the characters and the storyline drew me right in! I also love the cover, such a beautiful fall scene!

BOOK REVIEW: THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS BY DENISE HUNTER
This was such a great read! I loved the characters, the plot, the setting and how well this book ended the Big Sky Romance series. There is a strong storyline of faith and God which I enjoyed.

THE TROUBLE WITH COWBOYS
The Trouble with Cowboys is a great love story that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to modern day western romance fans. Denise Hunter’s Big Sky Romance series has been one of my favorite contemporary romance series’ and I’m sad to see it go but The Trouble with Cowboys is a fitting end. Each book can be read as a stand alone but the entire series is worth a try!
